Do you think THIS is appropriate for children?

I just don't know what to say about this. Seems like a subtle conservative effort to slam homosexuals while under the cover of demonstrating that paedophiles are evil.

If there are any homosexuals here, I would like to hear what your take is on this, as it seems derogatory in my opinion. :?

Yes, that book pretty much equates "homosexual" with "child molester" and claims that lacking a father figure leads to becoming attracted to other men.

ugh.. creepy book that. the story is very specific but the exact motive of the book is suspiciously unclear for it's intended audience. I wouldn't want my kids to read it at all.

to an adult, it implies that homosexuality is learned/adopted by some unfortunate circumstance, rather than being the natural way of being for a person.

definitely anti-gay.

AS has been stated it has no educational or entertaintment value so I wouldn't want my children to read it. It's factually innacurate by implying that all gays were abused as kids, and that homosexuality can be cured with counceling. It has been shown that some people are born with a higher likelihood of being gay as adults. The exact cause of this, either genetic or hormone levels during fetal development has not been conclusivly proven.
Certainly it's implied in that book that gays are also child abusers, when this is not the case for the substantial majority of individuals.
I'd agree that this was an anti-gay document as if it was solely intended for the victims of child abuse, or to encourage children to report abuse, then the whole gay/realising-I'm-not-gay segment wouldn't be in it at all.

I know it's of dubious relivence but I can't help but post this link to a short youtube video.
Personally I'd be happier if kids watched that, then read the book.

i dunno.

Ive heard that with enough force you can straighten out anything.

Besides which, isnt there a solid reason for every religion on this planet hating gays? Meh, maybe its just the human biological imperative towards hatred.

well christians shouldn't since adam and eve only had 2 sons, and since with them being the first humans, and humans being here today, something must of been going on in the 'holy' house

I forgot the specifics, but my Dad explained this to me before well over a couple months ago and I recall my initial reaction being something along the lines of "So they just made it up?"

We could say that about a good quantity of the Bible.

Adam and Eve had at least three sons, Cain, Able, and Seth. They had many more children, but most of them are not specifically named. The Adam and Eve story is rediculous anyway.
