There have been a lot of collection pics going up in the toy forum and I've noticed something strange.

Every G1 Ultra Magnus I've seen has a silver face. Mine has a blue face. The whole "helmet" is the same color.

Does anyone else have a blue-faced Magnus? I got way back in 1986 so I don't remember what the packaging looked like. Did my parents slip me a knock-off? It doesn't seem like one. He has Autobot symbols and the Prime cab is part metal-part plastic.

Is the original blue-faced and the reissues silver-faced?

That's one of the many variants of G1 Ultra Magnus. Some have a blue head, some have a painted head. On the smaller robot, some have a painted head as well, while others have a totally white head. Another variant, I believe, is the toy having rubber wheels. Some do, some don't.

Nothing wrong with your Magnus...he's just one where Hasbro got cheap on.
