As long as the quality of writing stays above the season 1 finale I will be happy.

Okay, here's some stuff I think will happen in the first episode. Mostly just guesses, some based on things I've read.

Peter will surface at some point. Probably toward the end of the episode and possibly in some sort of danger. I'm guessing/hoping that Nathan will pop up a few episodes in.

Peter and Nathan's mother will be killed by the new main villain.

Niki and DL will be given some horribly preposterous and ridiculous predicament in order to keep the only interesting part of their storyline (Micah) involved in the show.

Sylar will pop up. They'll probably try to put him into some sort of situation to try to make him a sympathetic character. Can you tell I'm sick of him?

Thats why each season is a chapter of a book, not every book has a big plotline completely resolved when the chapter ends.

yeah but after a whole season of build-up, i expect more than a lame-ass pseudo fight.

The fight was a whole 5 minutes of the overall storyline for that episode. The whole series is a learning process for the characters, you gotta remember peter didnt have a clue on what the hell to do with the nuke powers so once they go overboard he freaks out, and he thought sylar was dead, no need to keep fighting after that.

I'll be surprised if DL and Niki/Jessica play a large part in this season.

The more Hiro the better, although I hope they don't water him down like they did in the middle of season 1.

true, but i was expecting something like the "future fight" times 2134342. i really like the series as a whole, but that was a bit of a letdown for me.

i thought that tonight's episode was GREAT 8)

Could anyone tell me what channel this show is on? I work and go to Ball State during the day most days, so I never have time to watch TV, but my wife recently snagged a DVR and I've decided to start watching this show, as sources say it rocks socks that you don't even own.

What channel and time can I find reruns of the first season, and what channel and time/day can I find new episodes?

Got around to watching it today(been busy), pretty good, though I gotta admit there was no "wow" factor like the first episode of Heroes, but it did leave me itching for more like a lot of episodes did.

Kinda surprised that they only touched on two possible new "heroes" in the episode, but I'm sure there will be more. What's Maya's power, exploding people's brains?

And Hiro's story looks like it'll be good. One thing though, why did Kensei seem to immediately accept the concept time travel? It's one thing I never understood in some shows where a character travels to the past. Science fiction would be unheard of in the 1600's, and I doubt anyone of that era would consider what might be even ten years down the road.

I don't think the Kensei guy really believed Hiro when he said he was from the future. He probably thinks Hiro's nuts.

I have a theory that Hiro is going to have to take on Takezo Kensei's identity and fulfill the legends himself, thus becoming the very man he looked up to as a child.

i think that too, but it has been hinted that kensei may have powers, as well

Watched it last nigh, I'm researching it from the USA

That was my thinking of it, that and Hiro would have to make Kensei into the Hero of the stories.

My theory of why Nathan is scarred in his reflection (because he "absorbed" Peter similar to Nikki/Jessica) was debunked 20 minutes after I thought of it...

And why the heck did Hiro's father not tell Ando all the important info if he knew he was going to die??? What a lame way to go, although the assailant must be able to fly or something, seeing as he was not on the pavement.

Not that it matters, Hiro can return the moment he left, and not be missing at all, thus saving his father (if the writers want him too).

From what I udnerstand, she gives off a toxin. Her brother is the antibody. That's why they were so adamant about sitting together.

Ah, that makes sense. When watching the new episode I took it as a "death stare". Still, it must be a little more complex than either scenario, since the woman who was "dead" came back(with no hint of bleeding eyes either). I'm sure more will be revealed over time exactly how it works.

The toe regeneration was cool! Good effects, but I don't see why Claire was so surprised. She put her hand in a garbage disposal in the first episode, and it regenerated very quickly. No missing fingers if I recall, but still.

I can't remember, was there a "hero" in last season who could shoot electric bolts? It could have been one of Sylar's powers that he picked up off screen.

I hope Hiro and Kensei's adventures prove to be fun! I kinda thought Hiro got less interesting after his sword broke last season, and he works well in a light-hearted atmosphere. The "fight" with the bandits was awsome though! On the flip-side, I thought the "there's Kensei, let's kill him" segment was a little weak.

Hiro and Ando are still the best parts of the show, IMHO. When the two are together, they're more interesting than apart. So I hope Hiro's trip to the past doesn't last too long.

I heard that Hiro was added to the story because the creator's wife (I think) said none of the characters were happy about their powers (they were either uneasy or indifferent, not excited), and thus Hiro was added, so it's no wonder he works so well as a light-hearted character.

Ah. I was thinking he was added to the show for that "comic-book nerd" aspect, which is one of the reasons why I like Hiro so much. I'm a nerd too, so that's probably why he's my favorite character. Though they stopped the comic-book/sci-fi references after about the sixth episode, but there've been a few since then.

Well, I was half right about Hiro, at least. I loved that part where he says "Ando's never going to believe this!"

Looks like we got a glimpse of what Angela's power might be. Telepathy, perhaps?

I though Claire could already regenerate limbs. It sure looked like she lost a hunk of finger in the garbage disposal scene.

According to an article I read in a magazine, Hiro will return to the present after eight episodes.

Also, this season will be splint into two separate story arcs, instead of an all-encompassing arc that takes up the whole season. And the wording was kind of vague, but it sounds like they're going to do some sort of Heroes spin-off series over the summer, possibly. It's be one-shot stories similar to the IDW Spotlight comics, with some of the episodes and characters introduced tying in to the main show.

She knew matt was reading her mind so she yelled at him in her thoughts. No telepathy involved.

Does anyone else think that Peters memory loss has something to do with the Haitian considering that he is wearing the Haitians necklace?
