How many of y'all had your class reunions?

How many of y'all went?

Anyone got any interesting stories from them?

Nearly ten years since I left high school so probably one coming up for me soon, however there is no chance I will be going. Anyone I do not talk to, or are not friends with since leaving school - there is a reason. I still stay in the same town and the majority of people still stay there anyway. Will be dodging that.

I didn't go to my ten year and I don't regret it for the same reasons as Milesy. I've since left my hometown and don't keep in touch with anyone I went to school with. I have no regrets and I'm pretty happy with the friends I've made online and in RL. High school wasn't the greatest time for me and I don't see any point in reliving that experience. They say the best revenge is living well but I don't see any point in rubbing that in anyone's face either. A few of the more popular people in my class have been convicted of crimes ranging from dui to pedophilia though.

I've only been out for five years. Some of them, I'm doing much better than (it's a small southern town) and others have actually finished college (which I didn't do). I do go back three or four times a year to visit, and sometimes I'll see old friends or run into former classmates. And while it may be petty, there was a small level of satisfaction from being served at a restaurant by the popular girl that was really bitchy to me and my friends. Ha ha!

Anway...I don't know if I'll go for a reunion. Possibly...it'll be interesting to see if that school actually spawned any businesspeople or professionals.

I've got my 10 year comming up next year. I have no need to go hang with the local heroes who've morphed into fat barflies.

I think high school reunions are the work of people who only want to try and prove that they're still pert and popular.

My 10 year is coming up in a few weeks, I'm not going though. The tickets were $100 each and it's not even open bar. Talk about a rip-off. I can use $200 in much better ways. Like buying all of the encore line. Really anything else would be a better use of the money.

I still kick it with or keep in contact with the (few) people who count. The rest were a bunch of lames. Seriously, I've ZERO desire to meet up with 33+ year old jocks, cheerleaders and their minions who had too much attitude, offspring at too young an age, in addition to their drug and alcohol problems. Karma's a pain in the ass, and they can wallow in it.

Meanwhile, I'll be far away from that scene with the people who count, no addiction problems, no baby's mamma drama, my cool job, the brand new car I drove off the lot yesterday, and enjoying life because I don't give a funk about being in a 15 year old high school "clique."

Amen man. I've lost count of how many times that has happened to me. Even better are the times where you find out they have 4 kids at the age of 22 and live with their boyfriend with the parents. Makes me warm and joyful.

They wont invite me to any of the high school reunions, guess even time couldn't soften their hatred of how different from them I was. Hey Moonbase I'm from the south too. Its always good to see that their other southerners out their who actually have their heads on straight.

I can't believe that even though I had kids young like some of them did (and some aren't parents at all) that I'm STILL doing better. Leaving that little hick town was the best thing I ever did. Still, I have a business opening there, and I make sure to let all of those meanies know, that the quiet kid they picked on is doing pretty darn well!

We're a bitter bunch, aren't we....

I went to a small school. My graduation class should have been 36, but four ppl dropped out, so only 32 made it.

My class only had one unspoken arrangement, we didn't f#ck with each other. However, every other person in that school, including faculty was open game.

During my four years of High School, we went through four principals and my senior year, we had two teachers fired for sleeping with students. We had the same class prez and VP since middle school, for the sole fact that we didn't care about anyone. It was weird, but all of us felt the same way.

The prez was a loser, the summer she graduated, she got knocked up and had to drop out of community college. The VP, who though she was all that, found out she was next to nothing @ the state university. Meanwhile, I just did what I always did, whatever I wanted to. I kept close with the ppl I liked. If I didn't like you, I never saw you again.

We should have had our ten year about two years ago. By apparently the prez and VP, never got around to it. I know 'cause my mom is still in the same school system and there was no request for a reunion and student info.

My best friend from HS is still by best friend. On top of that she has a myspace page and when all of the freaks came out of the woodwork, it reminded me why I only talked to the ppl I liked.

Wow, you all seem to have had a pretty awful hs experience.

I loved HS and had tons of friends. So, naturally, I went tomine and it was a great time. It was a little to sad to see those who had, how should I put it, strayed from the path over the years. But overall, it was really fun tosee how everyone had changed and what they were all doingnow.

OP, if yiu out this up to see if you should go to yours, I would recommend going. It'll be lame, but in a good way. If you had a bad time in HS, well, heres your chance at looking your past in the face as a confident adult and getting over it. ;)^

Wow, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this thread is cursed because just outta the blue, one of my pals tells me this girl I had gone to school with since kindergarten was doing some reunion thing and wanted to know if I'd been contacted. I was laughing at him because there's no way she could know of my whereabouts since I'm low key and never use my name anywhere.

Just got an e-mail from her about a reunion.

Yeah...as a "confident adult," I just don't feeeeel the neeeeed to waste my time with **** that's been done and over with. Time moves forward, and so have I...

Never been to one, and I doubt there's been one, to be honest. I barely keep in contact with anyone from my school years, with only a couple of exceptions who weren't even in my year. If I happen to bump into someone when I'm back in my home town, great, but I see no point in going out of my way to a reunion where I probably have even less in common with everyone now than I did when I was in a class with them.

I didn't go to my 10-year...there's only one person I would have really cared to see, and I had no idea if he was actually going to make it or not. So I didn't bother.

I did run into one of my old classmates that fall, who said I didn't miss much. Glad to know. :P
