Makes me wonder how common this will be with Deer Season coming

In reaction to the tragedy in Crandon, WI, police arrested a Stevens Point High School student who claims he "accidentally" brought his rifle to school after going hunting before class.
The firearm (either a rifle or shotgun) was found inside his vehicle in the school parking lot and police arrived after being tipped off by someone who saw it in the vehicle.
The DA said he doesn't intend to prosecute as there is a loophole that allows locked, unloaded firearms on school property (which is dumb, IMHO anyway).
Everyone in the state is very skittish right now, compliments of Crandon, so we will see how common this becomes with Deer Season getting closer and closer.
