Right Brain VS Left Brain test... (Or who here is in their "right of mind"?)

This was sent to me via an e-mail, and I thought it would be fun to post here...
THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.
LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe
RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking
BTW - I saw it clockwise, but I am also left handed, so it makes sense... (to me anyway) But if I look away and go back to it I can make it go counter also.

Oddly, it's switching for me. I looked at the picture and saw it spinning clockwise. After reading a little more of the post and looking again it was spinning anti-clockwise. Now I see it clockwise again.

The dancer is moving clockwise and those who say they see it going COUNTER-clockwise is making it up.

I'm seeing it counter-clockwise, for some reason. And I can't see it going the other way, no matter how hard I focus.

Same. It used to be switching all over the place, but now it's more clockwise. It switches back for a split second every time I look at it before my brain corrects itself.
Actually, I've done such exercises, trying to turn the fanblades on the ceiling mount the opposite direction as well.
Anyone notice the dancer has nipples?

I see both ways. I have a theory on this. I'm ambidextrous for the most part (being able to do a lot of things with both hands such as using a baseball bat and such). This results from having a balanced brain where both halves compete for dominance.
I'm pretty sure that's why I see her spinning both ways.

I'm the same way yet I can't get it counter-clockwise. I'm lefty-dominant in drawing/writing/etc but I throw a baseball with my right(not hitting tho) and can write pretty well with it also.

I'm right-handed and very, very logical thinker (I'm a math teacher for GOD sake), but there is no way in which I see her dancing counter-clockwise. She is dancing clockwise.

I cannot see any conceivable way of this rotating counter-clockwise.

Scroll all the way to the top and just watch the top of her head.
You may see her spinning the opposite direction in which you originally see her spinning.

Nope, still clockwise. Been starting at it for a while now. I don't think it's possible for me

I see it clockwise, and I'm right-handed and logical...how could it movie nonclockwise?...

I see it either way, if I look at the head first, counter-clockwise, if I look at the feet first, clockwise.

This has been on some Aussie news sites for a few weeks now.
Many people claim that it is a .gif and can spin both directions.
I've only ever seen it go Clockwise though...

It'd be pretty easy to just reverse it, and add a script to load either one at random. But it makes for a lame prank, and don't think that's the case. I guess it's like those shadow pictures, if you see it one way it's hard to see it another.

It has to be a script, me and my wife were watching it and we both saw it change directions at the same time.

Personally....I think the only reason you think it might be counterclockwise isnt that the dancer is DOING, it's simply your brain trying to process the words.
I know that sounds weird, but the animation thats playing isnt relative. It IS spinning clockwise, any variation is simply your brain trying to process it. I just woke up before I looked at it and it took me a sec to process it.
There are better tests out there to check left and right brained tendencies...FYI we all have both, it's just a matter of which one dominates, and quite honestly that can vary depending on day, mood, etc.

It's an optical illusion refered to as visual ambiguity. It happens with 3-dimensionsl objects represented 2-dimentionally. See all the fun things you get to learn watching Mystery Science Theater 3000?
