My baby-making skills are unstoppable!

by Me, Grimlock!
As suggestive as that title sounds, I'm here to announce the birth of my new baby girl, Her, Grimlock (little Zoë Kyra Grimlock to all of you). She was born October 18 at 1:10 EST (I know this message comes a few days later, but I've had very little net time lately to tell all of you). She weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces. The going was a little rough, but everything ended up well, and baby is home now (as of Sunday night) along with a very aching mommy.

Pics!

Image
Mommy holding her about 5 minutes after birth.

Image
Sleeping soundly. My favourite pic and the one in my wallet.

Image
Feeding time. At first, she would eat almost nothing, which really worried us. Now she's pigging out.

Image
Sleepy baby.

Image
More sleep.

Image
Just a cute gift from the gift shop in the hospital. She ended up getting two of these, one from me and one from auntie dearest.

Image
Yet more sleep. She's sleeping like, yes, a baby.

Image
In the car seat, snug as a bug.

Image
Baby finally at home in her crib. She's not sleeping yet. She's just really tired. Give her about ten seconds.

For those that know me on Facebook, I have a note on there with more details, and a few more pics will go up soon.

Yay baby!

Yarr. Congratulations, mate.

But... "unstoppable baby-making skills"? Have you particularly tried to stop them? Do have many, many other sproglings..?

Congratulations!

May she be healthy and happy always.

May you find the strength to withstand the next few years, sleeplessness and whatnot. (lol)

Aw, cute! I kinda miss the newborn stage. They are so tiny and they sleep a lot. Don't miss getting up at night, though.

Congratulations on your baby girl.

I thought about it...your baby-making skills are indeed stoppable.
I can see it now...

"Hey babe, you wanna?"

"Oh no. I see that twinkle in your eye. Oh I know what you "wanna" do mister! Did you just push a watermelon through a straw? No? Didn't think so.

Oh...you noticed the twinkle in my eye? See those scissors over there? Yeah....do the math. Ain't gonna happen Mr. Libido!"

"Ooh. Okay, well, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom to take care of something, and let's just say it involves changing my pants."

*mumbles something about "scratching that off the list for good. Yay."*

:P

I had two kids in 19 months. Practically Irish twins. My baby-making skills must be controlled or I'd end up with six like my mother.

Thank you, everyone. I do agree: she is adorable and a cutey.

My wife is planning a baby scrapbook and I want to include this thread, so I'll be keeping this around. If anyone would rather not show up in our scrapbook, please PM me and I'll take you off.

She's so adorable, and she has so much pretty hair for a newborn. Definately one of the cutest babies I've seen in a while. Congrats!
