YES this happens with my phone all time.

So its not just me. Hopefully the ad causing the issue is rotated out.

Unfortunately it hasn't worked yet. But thanks!

Still happening. There's something causing the tab to load and reload continuously and eventually it hangs or crashes.

Just had to close the Seibertron.com tab because it became unresponsive. All other tabs remained functional.

As I type this the loading wheel keeps coming up, even though the page as completed loading, and there should be no activity anymore while I type.

I have a similar problem in that the page keeps reloading... well, a slightly different version of the page is loaded right after the original page is loaded, and thus it's registered as a new page in the history. The result is that when I push the "Back" button I get the same page visually. I think one of the ads is to blame here.

Using FireFox 54.0.1, 32-bit.

*EDIT* Just updated to 55.0.2

I sort of solved the new threads not showing up in the View Your Posts list. Instead of listing all posts I changed it to just this past year and now I see my new posts on the page.

Nice one! You've saved me a lot of hassle digging for/bookmarking newer threads.
I'm guessing there's some kind of hard limit on the number of threads to display on the VYP page(s), but it adds them from the oldest- hence if the limit is hit before the recent ones are added they get dropped off.

Could be. But then how do I eliminate the older threads I no longer care about in the View you posts page? I already tried unsubscribing to a whole bunch of older threads from years ago but that didn't seem to do the trick.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but I can't see all my posts in the "View your posts" section/area/whatever. For example, I've been posting in the Power of the Primes thread and yet that topic doesn't register on the "View your posts" page

EDIT: Aaaaand I just realised that someone did have this issue, and fixed it. And it was the post right above this one. Good job Stryker, good job. :BANG_HEAD:

It's not really a fix, just a workaround. I still have the problem so something needs to be fixed.

It's an ad display autorefreshing itself and/or running Flash. It's one of the main reasons I installed Flashblock and Adblock. Ads on webpages? Fine. Ads lagging and crashing my browser? Not so much. Unfortunately a recent update to Firefox seems to have allowed a lot of autorefreshing and noisemaking ads to circumvent the blockers. Does 55.03 put things right?

Is anyone else having an issue with the "Display anyway" option for hidden posts not working? I just get an error message when I click it. This happens both in Firefox and on my phone browser. If I want to see the post, I have to open the page in Chrome (where I'm not logged in) so it doesn't get hidden in the first place.

Can you try again and see if you're still having this problem?

Not the same issue, but I seem to have just had a bunch of threads added to the "View you posts" section! Much appreciation to whoever (I'd guess Ryan?) managed to get that page updating again, it makes the whole forum experience quicker & easier.
To anyone else who was having the same trouble, I would assume yours is working correctly now too? If not I'll be completely baffled

Yup. Just tried it. Here's what the resulting error page said: "Not Found

The requested URL /energonpub/transformers-titans-return-product-reveals-news-updates-rumors-leaks-and-more--t105496s22050.php&p=1908334&view=show was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I just tried making a couple of new topics in both the live action movie forum and in the cartoons/comics forum, and upon submitting each one, I get a message for each that says "The requested topic does not exist."

Regarding the post sabrblade made above .... and anyone else havimg this problem ....

Can you provide me with more information to replicate the problem?

Is it a post that you created or that someone else created?

Does it happen every time or does it seem like a fluke? Can you replicate the problem with different topics?

How are you getting back to the topic to reply to it?

FYI ... I created a topic ... replied to it several times and all is good apparently.

this-is-a-test-topic--t109889.php

If you are able to replicate the problem, please provide me with the exact steps to replicate it. Thanks!

I clicked the "NEWTOPIC" button in both forum sections, titled the post and wrote up the message text, and hit Submit. Once the loading page went away, the message that reads "The requested topic does not exist." appeared.

When I go to the main page of both sections, I can see my topics in the topic list for each section, but every time I click on either of them, all I get is the aforementioned message.

I also see that two reply posts have been made by others in the topic I posted in the movie forum, but clicking on it still brings me to the "does not exist" message.

Nothing has changed on my end as of this typing.

Okay, got some good news and some same news.

The good news is that I just tried making another new topic in the cartoons/comics forum as a test, and this time it went through. Plus, the topic I made in the live action movie forum is finally working for me on my end. I can see the post I made, as well as Va'al's reply post and your (Ryan's) test post.

The same news, however, is that the earlier topic I made in the cartoon/comics forum (the "Transformers: The Basics" one) is still not working for me, still giving me the "does not exist" message.

EDIT: Now there's a new problem (or, well, an oddity). I just added a reply post of my own to the topic in the movie forum and, after the loading page passed, I got the "does not exist" message again. However, when I went back into the thread, the new post I made does show that it went through and is visible for all to see in the thread. But that message still did pop up for some reason right after I made that new reply post.

EDIT 2: I also now just made an edit to my reply post in the movie topic and got the same message again. Returning to the thread shows that the edit did go through, but the message still popped up anyway.

EDIT 3: On the upside, I just made a test reply to my test thread in the cartoon/comics forum, and did not encounter the message, so the issues only lie with the two topics I created earlier.

One more update.

I just checked my emails and saw a notification about a reply in the movie topic I made, and when I clicked the link to see the reply, I got the "does not exist" message again.

But I could still access the topic (and see the reply) from the forum itself, just not from the notification email.

I'm getting bizarre behaviour on that same topic too.

Were there any posts removed or moved to another forum? I see some of this same behavior from time to time when posts are moved around or removed...

Wrong.
A thread was moved, but that was after this problem started.

Huh?

I just checked both the cartoons/comic forum and the movie forum and see both of my topics still in their respective places.

I wasn't referring to your threads. Agamemnon asked if ANY posts had been removed or moved.
And yes, things were moved, but that was after the problem came up.

Hrm....it feels like a database issue, but I'm not enough of a DB admin to help from outside like this. And I feel for y'all dealing with this with the added variables of other changes which may be bringing up unrelated symptoms. But, to add to the symptoms..

I just experienced what Sabrblade was describing in this 3P thread:
fansproject-lost-exo-realm-dinobots--p1909561.php#p1909561

I proceeded to the post from a link provided in my email notification. The poster of the linked post is on my block list. Since I had just posted I decided to see if he was responding directly to me, so I clicked the "Display this post" link. The next screen was the 404 not found. (I was able to read the post by starting a new post and looking at the Topic Review pane.)

Again, I don't know that this is helpful, but what I know of databases, this feels like a table (or several) is out of sync with other DB tables causing created links to be off and sending clickers to oblivion instead of the intended link. Just a feeling.

*sheepish grin*

[Edit] Two things to add. Here is the specific error wording:

Seibertron.com wrote:Not Found

The requested URL /energonpub/fansproject-lost-exo-realm-dinobots--t100892s875.php&p=1909561&view=show was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Second, I posted after the blocked sender to see if clicking the "Display this post" link would work and it didn't.
