About 1500 of mine dropped off a while ago. I think it happens during housekeeping of the forums...

Mine dropped by 4,000. Which is fine, I'm already posting too much as is.

Mine dropped by about 3000 as well. How bizarre.

Post counts from the prior crash of 2007/2008 have been restored thanks to a backup I had in my local environment. Kind of petty, but I was really bummed that I messed it up and lost about 14,000 posts from my original count. After reading some of your posts in this thread over the past couple of weeks, I finally figured out how to restore it yesterday. Wrote a script to fix it and wa la! We're back in business with our actual post counts since at least 2002! ;)

This seems to have undone itself, postcounts cut again... Image

Last few emails I've gotten from subscribed topics, the urls in them have included :80 in them like this: https://www.seibertron.com:80/energonpub/idw-transformers-lost-light-ongoing-discussion-thread-p1986055.php#p1986055

Obviously it won't connect, unless I alter it. What's up with it?

I think it's fixed. However, the emails that were sent out with the port 80 in the URL won't work without removing it from the url. Thank you for letting me know. :)

Just ignore this, I'm testing.
-edit-
Going to assume the errors I was getting coincided with Ryan making changes.

Can’t connect securely to this page
This might be because the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings. If this keeps happening, try contacting the website’s owner.

when I clicked on my email that came up

is it truly fixed?

FYI ... I just modified some of the site's settings which will now force a slash at the end of a URL if it is not a file. I just tested most of the major sections of the site (galleries, HMW, news, forums, events, movie galleries, etc) and everything seems to work just fine.

An example of the change that I made (first url forces a slash at the end so that you end up at the 2nd url):

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers-toys/view/comic-con-exclusives/megatron/2999/1/2

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers-toys/view/comic-con-exclusives/megatron/2999/1/2/

Was receiving some noise from Google's spider about this problem (well specifically, that if the slash was left off, some pages weren't working as expected unfortunately). Problem should be resolved for them and everything should be working for us!

Hello,
my news count hasn't gone up past 11 yet if you click it you'll see I (at time of typing this) have 16 news credit items listed. It's not a big deal but thought someone might like to look into it in case part of a bigger problem. :)

I've been getting a lot of 504 and 502 gateway errors today. Was it a big news reveal that's causing server strain, like how TFW2005 gets DDOS'd by its own userbase every year come the Toyfair reveals?

That seriously happens? (the TFW2005 thing)

Yes, at least it did back when I was a member. They might have beefed the servers up since then. But I remember how when the Toyfair news was imminent and then posted, suddenly pages would be loading at the speed of molasses when they even loaded at all (They would frequently time out), as everybody crowded onto the site to take a look.

Something went wonky with the PHP on the site's server and with MySQL on the database server at the same time when I forced a cron job (a scheduled task) to terminate early because of an error in the code. That generally doesn't happen, don't know what happened, but because different errors happened on two different servers at the same time, it took me a little while to isolate what the real issues were. I finally got it back up and running a couple hours or so ago, which is why we are all able to post currently.

Thank you for reporting the problems, regardless. Sorry about the inconvenience everyone.

I think the search engine is a trainwreck. I tried searching by topic title to find more of williamjames88's Top 5 lists. I got "No suitable results found" even when my only search term was "top"

I can't say for certain but I would guess that "Top 5" is too short of a search string.

Try this instead.

The forum search doesn't log words that are less than 4 characters.

However, all of the top lists can be found in the primary navigation on the site in the Top Lists section at https://www.seibertron.com/top-lists/

In addition, if you use the Google search bar in the header on the far right, and put "top 5" in quotes, it will pull up the results for which I think you are searching: https://www.seibertron.com/search.php?q="Top%205"

We've got a thread for HMW bugs here.
hmw-bug-reporting-thread-t45107.php
Manual CR Chamber isn't working at the moment, Auto CR Chamber is.

I've patched up your bots.
