I hardly ever post unless it is a PM (this is actually my first post to a thread ever) so I havent seen any issues with that yet.

WOW! Way to go with reading posts prior to posting!

EPIC FAIL!!!

Thank you sir, you just demonstrated to everyone exactly why I, and many like me, dont post to threads and prefer to keep it to PMs. Congratulations.
This particular thread was put in place to report problems on the site, which is exactly what I did. You, however, decided that it would be a good idea to post a sarcastic remark rather than posting something constructive or even remotely intelligent. It is prepubescent "know-it-alls" like yourselves that keep new people away from contributing and thus prevent your own community from growing.
Please, enjoy this small, false sense of victory on me if that makes you feel good about yourself. But I'll tell you this; among many other things, I am a veteran, and a leader of soldiers, and I would love to have the pleasure of meeting with you in person sometime.

I apologize in advance for making an "off topic" post in response to Skippy up there, this will be my last on this thread reguarding this matter and let the tread serve it's intended purpose.
Thank you all.

Predaprince has a point. You asked a question that had already been answered. That's considered a big no-no on every forum on the internet. Along with calling people "prepubescent 'know-it-alls'."

to 'view the newest post since my last visit'

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=63112&p=1050914&e=1050914

any of the emails w/new post links are doing this. It takes me to log in. I log in, and then i get the error message page and then seibertron resets to home page. Obviously, it's supposed to take me to the new post

for this page with u asking me about the link:

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=216&p=1050870&e=1050870

Ah, here's the right thread...

Are most of the galleries down right now for some reason, or is there a problem with my PC? I tried looking at the G1 Combaticons and found that most of the galleries (I mean all galleries, not just Combaticons) came up with just blank boxes instead of photos. I tried hitting CTRL+F5, disabling all ad-blocking, reopening the browser, trying different browsers, all to no avail. I guess I'll try later.

Any idea when the galleries will be fully up again?? I need good pictures of a few figures so I can finish my paint jobs on my game. Seibertron has spoiled me with these galleries.

For the upteenth time:

The Galleries are being worked on. The server crash has corrupted the data of the images and all must be restored from the backups Ryan has, one at a time. As the amount is rather great (Ryan has stated he has at least millions of images) the process is lengthy. Please be patient. :)

Sorry, just haven't heard anything since last weekend. Thank you for the update. I'll try to be patient.

Oh, I had no idea. Someone should post an announcement on the front page or something. ;) I didn't even know the server crashed, only that it was down and I assumed it was for maintenance.

Not that I'm impatient, just trying to understand, but isn't there a method or system where one can copy entire directories of images at a time? I suppose websites probably don't work like PC filesystems...

We've got hundred thousands of high-res images. It's complicated.

This is comforting news. Why? When I went into galleries I thought my computer must be uber f***ed. I'm glad to know it's not my computer or Firefox's fault.

Is it just me, or there's some problem with the auto-login system? The site requires logging in every 5 minutes or so, even if I check the "stay logged in" box.

I mentioned the same problem a couple of days ago but nothing yet...

I was going through some galleries, and just noticed that the Energon Blackout & Stormcloud galleries are mislabeled, the names are reversed. Caused a bit of confusion until I googled them.

I'm not sure if this is an error or intentional, but there is a big video advertisement after the first news post on the front page. I'm certainly not opposed to advertisements on the site since maintaining a site like this isn't free. But that ad is really distracting and it doesn't seem to fit in with the overall layout of the front page. It looks like an error since it doesn't conform to the horizontal length of the rest of the posts in that area. If this ad placement was intentional, perhaps consider making it conform a little more to the aesthetics and layout of the page. Currently, it detracts from the news.

 Thats what I thought when I saw it in the show. Well, maybe more disturbing than distracting. Blame the original G1 animators not me. At least i tried to make it educational.

Actually now that I think about it, they should replace that ad with my sig. It would look more relevant to the site, and more people would try to click on it...

I completely agree... it looks very out of place and actually quite annoying.... please don't leave the video advertisements in the newsfeed on the homepage :)

It looks like the ad was moved out of the news feed and under the gallery. This is much better. Thanks.
