so just read the news about allegiances, and changed mine to Quintesson, but no symbol pops up for me :(

i would have mentioned it in the news discussion, but it said "not authorized to read this forum"

*edit I tried a few others and they work, but no love for the quints :(

I fixed the error with the Quintessons not displaying. I also fixed the error with you guys not being able to post in the topic about the new functionality. Thanks for letting me know!

When I typed several consecutive smileys here, they all stacked on top of each other instead of going sideways (I didn't push the Enter key).

The news on the front page isn't updating. The latest I see is the Takara Megatron news from a few days ago. The news on the side bar in the forums is okay.

Every time I post in a thread it's added to my Topic Subscriptions and sends me an e-mail for every post afterwords. And I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it not do any of that. It gets tedious having to clear out my subscriptions every time I post.

That just now happened to me too. I had to uncheck the Notify box when posting this post.

I didn't notice until now, but I don't show up in "Users Browsing This Forum". I have cookies enabled, and I'm using Firefox 3.5, FWIW.

ok -- this is going to sound complicated, but it's really not. From my email I clicked on the link to the newest post in this thread (ironically) and it brought me to a page with my username & PW blank. I tried filling in the blanks to get in & forgot my password, so i stopped. Then I clicked the link for another thread, and this time it took me to the log-in page and my username & pw were filled in. Why the hell did that happen????

Did you save your user name and PW in your browser? If so, the link you followed probably didn't match the one you saved on, but the next one did. That's my semi-informed WAG, anyway.

This is happening to me as well, and I'm pretty sure I have notifications off because PM's don't get sent to email...

Better check your notification settings again: I think during an update some defaults on certain users have changed. On mine, the notifications were somehow turned on while I always had it on off.

yes, they are saved in my browser. That's probably what happened. After the log-in, a screen came up with a double rainbow. What does that mean?!?? :x 8-}

That could be it, but I think I had the wrong one set, is the one I need to turn off the administrator one?

Ah, there's the option for it, it was in the last place I looked. (Board preferences -> Edit Posting Defaults)

Yeah, me too. But I see there's been some word on how to fix this problem. This post is merely my test to see if I successfully disabled the notification thing.
