Well, i know it sound cheesy. I know some people might see it dumb or whatever, but i can't wait. Finally, a Dungeon and Dragon movie that won't SUCK!
Im not saying it will be a hit, but at least it won't be as crappy as the two other abomination.

Sadly, it won't be released in theatre...

So, for those who have not seen the trailer:

Honeslty, this GOD compared to the other two horror that are called D&D movie. Really, THIS should have been released in theatre isntead of the crappy movie of 2000.

We are on a message board about giant trasforming robot from space...don't claim this trailer is cheesy or kiddy!

I thought for sure it would be so retarded.

And I was....

Wrong.

That was bad ass. Why? Because it was animated. It reminded me of that old Lord of the Rings animated movie. The art style reminds me of something as well. Though I wish the Dragons and Draconians weren't CG, but oh well.

Nice dude. Good trailer anyway. Hopefully it's not a corny movie.

And hopefully it has some damn blood in it. Maybe even some, dare I say it, nudity and sexuality? (Animated yes, but the content's existence in the movie is commendable if it's there.)

For some reason I think of Metalocalypse (the humans at least.)

Huzzah for 2nd rate cgi, and below par animation.

But even with those short comings, yeah, it will be a hell of a lot better than the D&D movies.

I was almost tempted to say Todd McFarlane's animated Spawn from HBO, but no. That's better drawn, but at first glance the style does look pretty similar.

I really hope people don't say it sucks because of those things, and they will. Why couldn't they just have drawn them?

I like the animation. I looks like old 80's cartoons. And it would have been soooo damn cool for me as a kid. And it's PG-13 so it won't be too kiddie.

It'll never achieve cult classic status like, say, Ladyhawk. But maybe it will be cool enough. Damn, I'm worried about it though. There needs to be two more for the whole story to be told, but I can totally see this not working.

Damn I hope it works out.

More of a Forgotten Realms guy myself but this looks very promising. Not sure why they mixed CG Dragons with traditional animation tho. Rather had it one way or the other. All in all I am still looking forward to seeing it.

Should be interesting. I wonder if we'll ever see an Eberron movie?

I couldn't finish watching the trailer. The narrator was too terrible. Dra-gons!

This sort of thing would've been awesome as a Saturday morning cartoon back in the day but I doubt the narrative will be very gripping. Granted, it might very well be a hit with the intended audience/age group.

I'll buy it, but I'm not a huge fan of the mixing of obvious CGI with 2D cell type animation. Tiamat in the old D&D cartoon show looked more imposing than the Takhisis of the trailer.
