What's so wrong with that?

The Rock is actually a pretty versatile actor

I wouldnt agree.....while I'll say that unlike some of his fellow wrestlers , He can act.I wouldnt say the his acting has much range yet. Most of the roles he's done up to date have very simular personalties. The ones that didnt came off as a bit fake to me.

I think he's perfect for the role actually.

He's got the build, he's got the look, and he'll have the attitude as well.

The downside is that when it comes to this movie the bad guy will be better known than whoever gets the lead role.

Like the 88 Bat Man film.

While i'm not anti Rock playing the part, i am wondering how long lived Egyptian with powers of gods is going to look "cool" loosing to a preteen with a similar power up. Especially if this is effectively a Captain Marvel origin story.

The Rock as an ancient Egyptian baddie with the powers of gods. Didn't he do this with The Mummy Returns as the Scorpion King?
Maybe thats just his specialty.

Don't know too much about the character, but he eventually became an anti-hero didn't he?

He should look really intimidating in the outfit, and I think he can play a villain that could believably become a hero.

AKA The Rock(went from irritating bad guy to annoyingly popular good guy)

He's a comic book character, he's never had a voice before.

How can it be wrong?

I assume your a comic book fan.....if I'm wrong let me know....but if you are, can you tell me that in your head you havent invisioned voices for the characters your reading????Can you think of Nightcrawler having a Brooklyn acsent????Or the Beast sounding like some kid from the hood?????Or even Batman with a spanish acsent?????

Black Adam is the reincarnation of Khem-Adam,the first Black Adam and the son of the Pharaoh Ramesses II from ancient Egypt.

he is the ruller of Kahndaq a Arab country in the middle east on the continent of Africa, between Jordan and Egypt.

Do you really think that a powerfull proud Arab man ,a decendent of Egypt's roylity would sound like the Rock?????

I'm not trying to be a smart @$$ just trying to explain my earlyer statement.

I'm a comic book fan yes, I love them.

and I do imagine what their voices would sound like if they were real.

So, I regret my last post.

But the Rock has a very proud voice, I'm not saying he'll be great in the part, I'm just saying I'm going to give him a shot because I am a fan of him as an actor.

I think his acting skills are fine....but I dont think that their good enough for this part.

But I guess that depends on how the character will be written in the film. He's a torchured character with many conflicting points.but if they dont write him that way I guess he wont be so bad.

I can imagine the voice working for the character as you described him. He might need a voice coach to get the appropriate accent, but as is, he has no particular accent as far as I can discern, so I wouldn't rule out his ability to learn one.

Of course, if you don't mind waiting a couple of decades for my James Earl Jones clone to reach maturity, that's a different matter.

 Caelus has a James Earl Jones clone too

These Klingons will clone just about anything :P
<hr>

I'm thinking the depth of character will not be written in for the movie villain, So Dewayne will do fine. Unless he changes sides in the story... It wouldn't do for such a tragic character to serve as the hero's punching bag in a blockbuster movie right?

Was your cloned from mine?

Coz secondary cloning has a lower success rate. :P
