January 08 on NBC: The Galdiators Return

http://www.nbc.com/American_Gladiators/index.shtmlWell my guess is with the popularity of Ninja Warrior, NBC decided to bring back American Gladiators. This time, new technolgoy brings new eventys and courses, probably new Gladiators, and new hosts Hulk Hogan (about time he found something other than Wrestling or some bad movie) and Laili Ali. But with Hogan's recent divorce developments I question whether or not he'll start right away or at all.

I for one am looking forward to this as I loved the original series and have hoped for years they continue it.

I wonder if they're going to have names like "Lazer" or "Nitro". As long as they have the tennis ball shooting gun, I'll watch.

Australia have decided to bring back our version of Gladiators too!
But ours being brought back is due to Australian producers and executives being mindless idiots than anything else. (That and it is cheaper than making a decent Aussie series)

I can almost guarantee they will use names along those lines.
They are part of the Gladiator image.

Anybody else recognize Mike O’Hearn as the main gladiator in the promo commercial. He's a big name in professional body building. He won the Mr. Universe contest a few times as well.

Heyyyy, I remember this show. I hope they keep some of the orginal events.
In relation, anyone remember that old Steve Urkel episode when he and his dad were on American Gladiators?
Good times. Good times.
Edit: Come to think of it... maybe it wasn't his dad... Maybe a neighbour or something of the sort.

It was Urkel's neighbor Carl.
I don't recall them ever showing Urkel's parents
