Futurama: Bender's Big Score (Spoilers Possible)

I'm gonna put this bluntly. Bender's Big Score is the best movie I've seen this year. Granted, I have not seen many movies this year.

The movie has, literally, everything that a Futurama fan could want. Yes, even that. Every character is there (in a fashion that makes sense, not JUST for fanwank). All the voices are back (plus Frank Welker in a bunch of new ones). Almost every, "wouldn't it be cool if..." moment you could think of is there. And, if you cried during Jurassic Bark, you'll probably tear up a little bit during the movie at least once. After watching the movie, you'll probably spend the next hour realizing some of the more subtle stuff in the movie.

I can not recommend buying this movie enough. It gets my highest recommendation. Order it off Amazon, then download it from Frostwire so you don't have to wait for it to come in the mail. Simply stunning.

Remember how great Serenity was after waiting years for more Firefly? Yeah, Bender's Big Score is "Serenity good."

It's literally like it was made on the premise of the writer's saying "Hey...how many Futurama references do you think we can cram into an hour and a half?"

Like the part where Bender is fighting off the Swedish forces in 2304, spawning a large number of himselves, and destroying Old New York, exactly like in the first episode of Futurama, where Fry is frozen, and it shows time passing.

And the finally battle...I got chills. An extraordinarily epic space battle, with a sweet-ass remix of the Futurama theme jamming in the background.

And a cliffhanger! As if they needed a reason for me to get the next one. And no, it isn't one of those episodes where everything is destroyed, and normal by the next episode. What happens here effects the next movie "The Best with a Billion Backs."

Apparently, David Cross will play "a planet-sized monster from another Universe." They haven't made too many TF references, but this is a good chance for that.

I'd have a problem with the "cramming in as many Futurama references as possible" thing, but it WORKED SO WELL!

Some of the sadder parts were really well done.

Fry was with Seymore for most of the dog's life! And he pet him moments before he died! Yay!

OK, so I'm a sucker for Jurassic Bark. Sue me.

Just finished watching Bender's Big Score, and I gotta say, I enjoyed it. I was worried it would be like The Simpsons movie and just feel like an drawn out episode. But they did a really good job at keeping things paced. The jokes were top-notch as always, and how they fit everything in to the rest of the series was grand.

Now I just have to go buy the thing when I get paid.

Haven't seen it yet, but definitely planning on it. I just gotta know though, are Fry and Leela together at the beginning?

Futurama is just one of a handfull of shows that i don't get tired of seeing on a nightly basis. I have yet to see this movie but i hope it stayed true to the series itself.

Saw it the other day, hilarious  . Everything in the movie just worked, and I can't wait for the other four.

Favorite parts include(yeah, spoilers): "Hey, I'm Bender from 19 seconds in the future, stay here and wait for Fry, ok?".

Backwards Hermes got a laugh every time I saw him.

"Hey, they can't sign the marriage license if there's NO INK."

I actually like Jurrassic Bark a little bit more after watching the movie, cause I did think it was an awful sad ending.

All in all, I enjoyed it more than the Simpsons movie. Maybe it's cause Futurama is still very fresh.
