Since yesterday, the 29 Nov, If I open Firefox and try to use the site as I normally do, Firefox crashes almost immediatley. I haven't added any wierd add-ons or done anything different in the last few days... Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else. The site works well in IE, but I'm not a fan of IE so I'd like to figure out the problem with Firefox. I've run spyware checkers and cleaned that stuff up ... anyone else ?

I'm going to relocate this to GD, so you have better odds of getting your question answered.

I'm using Firefox right now, almost always do. Not a single problem. Try uninstalling and re-installing Firefox. Have you been installing the auto-updates, like the one that came out tonight? You could always try "a-squared free" (not anti-malware) just in case it's something much nastier than a spyware checker can detect, but I bet it's just a corrupt Firefox for whatever reason.

FireFox crashing? No, it doesn't do that for me. Sometimes the site gets WAAAYYY slow, but every other site works fine.

No problems here with Firefox for Linux or Windows. It looks like it's a problem specific to you, so I'd go with the others and suggest reinstalling it from scratch. Something may have accidentally broken... somehow. If that doesn't solve your problem, come back and let us know. One of us might be able to offer more help, or take a look at it directly for you.

IE used to have problems with the transparency on PNG images which is why you see the white behind them. I thought they had fixed that though, are you using an old IE?
And the thing about some sites not working in different browsers is because IE has a lot of it's own browser specific HTML. Which you won't see in other browsers like Firefox, likewise some versions of IE have trouble displaying strict HTML because it relies on people using it's own extensions.
Microsoft should make IE compliant, hell they even may have with IE7, but I stopped using IE too long ago to have noticed.

It's a problem with Firefox. If you haven't updated recently, you should do so. Mine literally updated about five minutes ago to version 2.11 and it said it addresses the problem of Firefox not being able to render some pages correctly. This update fixes that problem.

Weird though how it was not affecting some users. I wonder what was breaking it.

I d/l the latest version (2) of firefox, (and made sure that it was the latest update) and uninstalled it .. then re-installed the newest (updated) version.
I also installed a-squared and it found a couple tracking cookies that i got rid of.
Still crashy crashy.
This is what happens.
i click my bookmark to go to my registry page.
i choose which of my team i want to activate, and then it starts loading the registry page again after submitting my form, and then just dissappears.
I open firefox again and proceed to the missions page, where I enter my cons in the missions, then click submit ... and when it starts loading the missions page again - same thing - the browser just closes without warning.
hope you guys have more suggestions ..

If it's not Firefox it might be a script problem. Perhaps the latest Java would help.

Okay this is a long shot, but open the Java Console in the Tools menu and see if there is any output before the crash. Let me known what it is if there is any.
Also try using the Quality Feedback Agent:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\talkback@mozilla.org\components\talkback.exe
And get some error output from that.

Glad to hear it. =) Though in truth I am disappointed, I haven't had a good problem to solve for ages. =(

It's slow on my end too. Plus another user I talk to on MSN said he has the same load time problem as well.
It's so slow sometimes that it's eaten my postings.

I tried getting on here once on the computer at work, with dial-up. This website just seems to overwhelm it. Ten minutes of waiting and I still couldn't even post anything. Thank goodness for my fast internet.
