Since we keep making threads when new stuff comes up, I wanted to collect everything in a single cohesive thread so people don't have to keep searching for buried threads.

Enjoy the newest image of ole shell head. No CG and no photo manipulations. This is the actual suit with Downey inside of it on set.

God Damn is all I can say. Favreau got that nail right on the head. Click to enlarge the image.

I can't wait for this movie. From the way things are looking, this will be the best Marvel movie to come out since The Punisher.

This is going to be freakin' awesome! Movies with my two favorite superheroes are coming out in the same year!

Pinch me, I must be dreaming :P

I'm always skeptical, but I will admit they got the look down almost perfectly. Give the lighting guy a raise!

No kidding! I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'm a huge fan of Iron Man, and boy is that a perfect representation of his comic self.

I thought he was going to be 100% CGI ... guess not! That suit is incredible.

How much ya think THAT halloween suit is going to cost? Accept no imitations.

What Marvel movies have come out since then that have been better? Certainly not Spider-Man 3. Elektra? Blade: Trinity? Fantastic Four 1 and 2? X-Men: The Last Stand? Ghost Rider? All of those were horrible! Those were all of the movies by Marvel since the Punisher. None have been truer to the comic or better than it. Sadly I might add.

I can't wait for IM to be released!

And casting Iron Monger as the villain was a smart move too.

The Punisher was one of the most comic accurate movies to come from Marvel.

It was a modern day western. Which really is what The Punisher is, he's a cowboy, kill or be killed. The movie was damned good.

when i saw the trailer and all the pics from this movie weeks ago all i could think of was why favreau couldn't have directed tf's instead of you know who. or if not favreau, someone who at least would've been true to the franchise unlike you know who. ironman looks absolutely perfect, the cast is awesome, the clips have looked incredible, and they're actually sticking to the ironman story that all the fans know and love-wow whatta concept. too bad you know who didn't do that with tf's.

For the record, I loved the punisher and thought Ghost Rider was pretty nifty.

I wonder what else they plan to do for this movie. Do we have a villain yet?

Iron Monger. AKA Obediah Stane.

Mandarin is in here as well but not as a villain. Yet.

He is in there? Huh...I can't imagine how :-?

Still, maybe that means we'll get War Machine later on down the road, too 8)

Rhodey is in this one. Plans as far as I understand is to introduce that suit in the next one. Hopefully they don't screw this one up and we get a second one.

Man, talk about one-track.

And when the hell did Voldemort from Harry Potter start a career in film?!

That picture of Ironman that Muffin posted...that is so my new desktop.

Ok, so on the off chance, I pulled up IMDB's Iron Man page.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0371746/

Sam Jackson = Nick Fury

Now I usually take IMDB with a truck-load of salt. But if this is true. Hot diggity, this movie just got even better.

Yup. He's been confirmed for a while. I'm glad Favreau went with the Ultimate Fury instead of the gray haired old guy from the 616 universe.

Friggin' Awesome. Hopefully this will lead to a Nick Fury movie. A movie that will wipe the Hoff's version of Nick Fury from the face of the planet.

I'm not sure atomic bombs can do that, but a Fury movie with Jackson would be a good start.

I think when they based Ultimate Nick Fury off of Sam Jackson, they asked for his permission first. The deal also included the rights to play Nick in any future movies.

So this was not unexpected.

So the MK II suit is basically the MK III without paint? :-?

And the Iron Monger figure looks a little fat, IMO. Could be streamlined just a tad.

But overall, these look promising 8)

Verrry nice. I'm glad they aren't going nuts with the gimmicks. All of the firing things, are add on parts that don't limit the articulation of the figure. Big plus in my book.
