I watched this show from time to time when I was younger, all I can remember is thinking that Racer X was awesome.

I'll be seeing this

this is looking to be a good movie. The casting is good and I believe that the use of CGI for this film is the best way to go.

More importantly, I don't think the movie looks to be taking itself too seriously like trying to make sure things work in the 'real' world (Michael Bay  ), and it is staying very stylized and true to the original source material.

It looks fun!

I think it's a great idea, but you gotta think, half the people who used to watch this preobably won't remember.
But I think it's not half bad. Some of the CGI is a little goofy, overall it's cool though.
And the Mach 5 thankfullt looks like it should.

Oh lord, as if the show weren't awful enough. Now they have to go and revive it.

GP I seen the origional when it first came out on TV I guess I was about 5 or 6 it was the early 70's

I thought this would of been more live action

Too me it looks cartoony like the cat in the hat and Dick Tracy.I jnow the movies are based on cartoon but if its in the real world make it look like it is or just make a cartoon movie.

I'm disapointed in this

BTW its weird to see John Goodman as Fred Flinstone and Pops Racer

They remade it a few years ago. It was 100% awesomeness.

This trailer looks like they're trying to put a lot of F-Zero in it. The first shot of a track they showed reaminded me of one of the tracks in F-Zero GX. Which is totally awesome.

I'll definitely be seeing this.

My brother made me watch the trailer...All I could do was laugh at him for liking it. You want a cartoon that is a horrible idea for a movie. That's Speed Racer for sure. But for people that love nostalgia of a pretty bad cartoon, this is a movie right up their alley.

not what i was expecting (more of a fast and the furious vibe) but it looks entertaining. it will probably be a big hit for the nostalgic audience.

While I'm aware of Speed Racer and the characters, I've never seen an episode of the cartoon. Still, the trailer looked good enough to get me to watch the movie. I'll probably wait for the DVD b/c I hate the theatre. I only go there when a film comes out that I absolutely cannot wait any longer for. In the past few years, that would be Star Wars Ep3, Casino Royale, Spider-man 3, and Transformers.

But when it came out, it was state-of-the-art. :P

I think I was 1 year old when the show went off the air.
