You're joking...a live action DBZ?
As if Speed Racer wasn't enough. Ugh.

DBZ movie, huh?
.....for some reason I see this going the way of DOA & spirit bomb, however it could be cool if done right.....

The more news I read about casting and locations, the more likely I am not going to be reading something along the lines of "Ha gotcha, it was all just a joke to freak you out".

Not trying to be negative or anything, but will we see even one Japanese person in this adaptation of a Japanese anime series?

Depends, how many characters in the series were actually Japanese?
I think Krillin, Roshi, and Yajirobe, and MAYBE Yamcha might fill that role.
Everyone else is either not Japanese, or an alien. (Which also means not Japanese)

Not sure if Krillin is in the Movie, but the fellow who played Ando in Heroes was supposedly trying out for Yamcha. So he and Roshi should be Japanese at least.

Besides that, they tried that approach with DOA...keeping the Japanese characters Japanese(Looking mainly at Hitmoi & Ryu)...& they looked nothing like their game counterparts. Hell, Hitomi is probably meant to be the most gorgeous of all the DOA girls but the chick that played Hitomi was downright fugly in comparison to her game counterpart.

It uses bad american actors for Goku, Piccolo look retarted. One looks Boyband the other looks VERY ODD. Piccolo is supposed to look bad ass! Vegetas not in it WHOP dont wana see it! Jackie chas should be goku Jet li as vegeta and vin diesel should be piccolo! Sadlly its dragonball not dragonball z. Which I like dragonball but this movie picked some unsuitable actors!

Jackie Chan? No. He's way too old to be Goku.

Personally, I don't understand why the actors should all be 'Asian'. Most, if not all, of the characters weren't drawns as Asians...

I don't see why people get so emotional over Vegeta, he's arrogant, rude, shovanistic(sp?), ugly, has major mental issues, no personality.
Hell, does any DBZ introduced character have a personality? Eh, I am happy this is the final DB fight, pitty it is not set up like the books and cartoon.
