And what Shadowman says is true. A monkey man built Unicron Just one of many bad ideas about TF origin that season three had.

Yep, according to the G1 episode, "Call of the Primitives" a being called Primacron is responsible for his creation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't that same episode also say that Primacron created the Cybertronians too?

He claimed to have created some of the "Primitives". As far as story goes, it would make sense to me if he had been associated with the Quintesson at some point.

Unicron could have been their last big project together after they lost Cybertron to the Transformers.

That's how I'd have it anyway.

No he didnt. Only some of the Primitves , Unicron and Tornadron.
