personally, i love it. All the new additions, like the new help section, and especially the two new sections for homages and original characters. Wonderful job to all involved.

I just think all this reformatting is confusing, and a pain in the arse. Couldn't sign in to my web home until 5pm. And then when I do everything is moved around, with added forums. Leaves me wondering, will the forums stay this way or will it switch again in a month or two? just confusing.

I think it works well. Think about it from an outsider pov. The various "works" are separated into more specific sections now. Some people like things about established characters, while others prefer original stuff. It keeps things sorted nicely.

I'm not too much of a fan of the new layout. And point of clarity, right now is the Index basically two different layouts, old one first, new one second? If so, I don't like that the new one doesn't split up WIPs from completed works. Its also a finer line of distinction between medium KB and extensive KB. I don't know, just my opinion but I like how all the homages and original characters, repaints and heavy KBs are thrown into the WIP section. Heck, I probably wouldn't look into the Original character section nearly as much, and miss out on some really great stuff that if it were in the normal format, I would see and comment on, maybe even be influenced by.

I'm restructuring the forums Myself. Over the next couple weeks i'll be moving theads to the oppropriate sections.
Half the forums after this will then be deleated so don't scream Bloody Murder yet Asphalt. It's a WIP and the end result will be much more neater.

I think its interesting, but a bit confusing, like if I have a minor mod fora G1ish character should i post in minor mods or homages? Although TFM said hes going to be reworking a bit more so we'll see

I think splitting it up so that there are forums divided into Minors/Kitbashes/Scratchbuilds and Homages/Originals is overly confusing, as it means you don't know what category to post in.
But I can't help thinking it looks like some of the older categories are getting switched out for the new ones, so I'll reserve any proper judgement till it's settling down.

I'm all for less forums. I think we have way to many as it is.

That's what i'm doing. If you count the number of new forums in the bottom section as opposed to the old ones there are alot less.
I'm breaking up the old forum topics and replacing them in the proper new Catagories.
Once it's done it'll be alot less cluttered around here.

CROSSPOSTING IN MULTIPLE FORUMS! ;D
man, it would be cool if threads could be in multiple forums without having to duplicate them.

I've just noticed something while shifting stuff out of the fanart forums. Do we have anywhere in the new boards for non-TF submissions? Would it all just go in original stuff, even things like Marvel and DC characters, or are we having a subforum for that sort of thing?

I'd say put them in the same place. If you split up transformers and non tf art, the non tf stuff tends to get ignored. Just check TFW for instance. We don't get alot of artwork here, so I don't think it'll be an issue.

Yeah, that's what I figured. But should artwork of established characters go into the Homages forums, or should we leave those forums strictly for TFs, and put all non-TF artwork into the Originals forums?

I think the forum layout should be like this:
(top 3)
Work in progress
Finished kitbash
Repaints
Followed by all other threads:
Ex: Fan art, digibashes, site related stuff etc...
The point is that Transtopia is dedicated to customs and repaints and
I'd like Transtopia to keep focusing on that.
