Heroes (NBC) Thread

I'll go ahead and start the thread because I had something to say on it...
I found the recent episode somewhat lacking, it just seemed to be mostly setting up for future things.
I was hoping that they were just going to write out Zach, so Clair (the Cheerleader) wouldn't have anything to tie her down to her current situation and she would go off on her own and join the other Heros. But it seems like we're back to where episode 1 started us with the Cheerleader, except she knows her father is not being nice.
They're starting to imply that Mr. Bennet does have some type of power himself, and I think someone called that he might be able to nuetralize powers (while the the Haitian just seems to be able to to alter memories and to knockout people.) It would explain why Sylar was helpless when Mr. Bennet talked to him, but Sylar was able to use his abilities on Eden pretty easily.
Still why didn't Sylar escape when he could? I don't think Mr. Bennet was around the place during "Fallout"... could it be possible that Sylar wanted to stick around? Did he manage to actually take Eden's ability? And why the heck does that cockroach hang around like that? Maybe it's one of Sylar's minions...

I thought that Mr. Bennet might have power-altering abilities, but the Hatian guy's always around him when a "power failure" occurs. So it's still questionable who really has that power.
And cause I thougth it was great "Flying Man!" "Whoosh." "Whoosh."
And anyone else assume that Sylar's keepers are planning on give other people powers, or controlling Sylar? Why else would they be isolating his "code-ons" as it was put?

I don't think power neutralization is an ability of Horn-Rimmed, but he did mention that they have power neutralizers in the room where they're keeping Sylar. Reason why he used his powers on Eden was because she turned the neutralizers off to try using her power to kill him.

so claire's mom is a fire-starter, eh? interesting.
assuming it's not another new character (which is entirely possible), my bet would be on her dad turning out to be linderman. not so much because i have any real reason to suspect that, mostly just because i think it'd be a cool little twist.

I missed the first half hour!

Can someone catch me up?

I recently realized that D.L. has really good control of his phasing powers. Wouldn't it stand to reason that somewhere along the line he ran into the invisible man, and was trained by him? And who knows, maybe the invisible man tutored Sylar on some of his powers, but considering Sylar has the power to "fix things" and understand them, I doubt it. Just a theory.
Also, it seems pretty obvious to me that Claire's real mom started the fire through the manifestation of her powers, and ran away after it was over, and she assumed that Claire had perished. Also, remember some episodes ago they said that Claire was "very sick" when they found her? I'm guessing she got carbon monoxide poisoning from the fire, and since she was still an infant, her powers were not at thier strongest, but she still survived.
And Hiro's father being the mob boss I felt was cliche. Still, it could lead to an interesting plot line.

And I missed the second half, due to a very poorly-timed blackout. Lame.
The parts you missed that I saw were that Hiro was getting chased down by some mob-types, and he still couldn't get his powers to work. Claire and Zach were trying to find any information hidden by her father, and Peter kept trying to talk with the invisible guy.
I'm sure all the good stuff was in the second half - what I saw to the point of Hiro's capture was quite meh-worthy.

George Takei is the "Big Boss"(Hiro's dad).

I like the idea that Clair's real dad might be Linderman, but could it be possible that Hiro's dad is connected to Linderman? He might have found out about Hiro's mission from the paintings Linderman bought. I just think this Linderman guy is going to end up being very important in the future.

Yeah, this affirms my nerd status, but the chick that Peter was holding the purse of? She used to star on Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. She was the nerd chick that made the morphers and married the token black dude.

meh, i was really hoping her dad would be linderman. it would've been an awesome way to show him for the first time, though i suppose somebody would have to call him by name so that the audience knew who he was. oh well, the way they did it still opens up some interesting possibilities, so i guess we'll see where they go from here. if the rest of the show thus far is any indication, it'll be awesome.
the preview for next week, btw, looks freakishly cool.

Wow oh wow. That means that Peter is Claire's uncle... and he saved her life... and... and... *head explodes from Heroes plot twists*
*head regenerates* So Peter can hold onto the powers of those he came into contact with? That makes him potentially omniscient. I hope they put a limit to his power, such as only being able to use one at a time, or something.
Did anybody else catch the lisence plate on Georde Tekei's car at the end of the show? It was "NCC-1701"!

It's a Star Trek reference. NCC-1701 was the Enterprise's registry number.
Did anybody notice that Mr. Bennett's license didn't have a first name on it? Now they're just trying too hard.
