Well a friend of mine bought Resident Evil Extinction (like an idiot) but it did come with something cool. A trailer for the new RE movie. And its not what you think. Its not Live Action its CGI and takes place in between RE4 and 5 with Clair and Leon as the main characters. It looks like we may have a real Resident Evil movie on our hands here. That is if capcom decides to actually take a role in the makeing.

I saw this trailer yesterday.

I was really surprised. A Resident Evil movie that won't suck. I couldn't believe it.

Wow, I rather liked all 3 RE movies.

Mindless sure, but fun.

But my liking them might have something to do with never having played any of the games.

Yeah, I watched the trailer when I purchased RE Extinction.

And I am in the minority with NOBODY LOVES WHEELIE, I liked the RE movies..

Well the RE movies are good zombie popcorn flicks sure.

But as video game movies, they suck. They suck hard.

I agree with that.

I am also in the minority of people that liked the RE movies. None of my friends would come with to Exticntion, so I went alone. Granted, if the movies closely followed the story of the games they would be much better. Was any release date given for the new film?

What I really liked was the 2nd RE movie and the lady who played Jill.

In fact, I would enjoy an entire movie called, "The Lady who played Jill in RE2, walks around in her miniskirt, smoking and swearing. Sometimes she kicks things and makes kissy faces."

This would be the #1 film of the year.

The first RE movie was great. Didnt interfere with the games and it was a prequel to the games. The 2nd one was a great zombie/action movie but for a RE movie it sucked. They just took the best action sequences from the games and then added Nemisis (best RE villan next to Infected Wesker) and added JIll (at least they casted her right). Extinction sucked both as a movie and a RE movie. And army of Alice clones i mean come on man. The world being taken over by the virus. Thats the most retarded idea I've ever seen. All they wanted to do was make a Road Warrior movie so he did. Just like when he made AVP he wanted to make an ALien movie so he did. The only thing that was good about it was Tyrant. Hell the writer even though he created super zombies. Well he didnt. Capcom created them in the Resident Evil remake for the gamecube. The thing that pissed me off the most is that the writer played the games and was a fan of them. So why did he frak things up so bad? It seems like every franchise he takes on he totally messes up. Just look at AVP. The first one sucked but the 2nd one (the one he had no part in) kicked ass. Im guessing Degeneration is going to be like Advent Children. Created by the game company them selves. If this is the case it should be just as good as or better than Advent. Sorry for the rant but i hate that damn Anderson guy and im a huge fan of Resident Evil.

This looks good, but I never thought that the first RE movies were crap, OK I may have fallen asleep during RE1, but they are still entertaining.

That's the prob with Star wars, you can easily fall asleep, I only watch them for Vader anyway.

Well, Advent Children was a pure fanwank movie. The hardcore fans will love Advent Children no matter what. The regular fans will own it, but admit that it could have been a lot better.

Advent Children wasn't a bad movie. They just made it for all the wrong reasons. The physics were terrible for a cgi film, the cgi was beautiful, the story...well I can't remember if there was a story.

Advent was made for the people that played the game and the hardcore FF fans thats why it was straight to DVD and UMD. Im hoping that Degeneration is the same.

I had to be totally drunk off my arse before I went and bought RE: Apocalyse. I was going to give it to my friend who think's Alice is hot but she don't have a damn multi-zombie, ah... zone DVD player.

I've always wanted a CGI movie. I heard rumours YEARS ago that they were making a cartoon based on the first game, but it apparently fell through.
