First episode's out on youtube and it's odd hearing the inverse translation from English to Japanese when we've been constantley exposed to the opposite. Well the intro song is horrible it sound like Naruto (I know that in Japan production companies higher artists to play their songs instead of making a title song for the episode but still) The actual intro it'self looks better than the american opening. While they seemed to catch the personalities in theur voices, Raphaels and Michaelangelo's are kinda annoying especially when Mikey fights. Maybe Stromrider can chime in on it since he is in Japan now and the sseries is just starting over there.

I'll watch this when I get home. I'll just say that the US into song was terrible, as well.

It kinda grew on me since im also a fan of the Laird/Eastman comics and this follows it. Unfortunately while the 1987 series was good you should expect that it will never be toughed on again since Laird and Eastman didnt like that series. Sure the 2003 would make homages to the 1987 series but thats it.

They really didn't like it? I thought they at least appreciated it while accepting it was a different direction.

While I prefer the tone and tack of the comics/2003 series (and the first movie), I still think the MWS cartoon was a good show. Very funny in some parts, too.

The original series was fantastic, no doubt about that, but it deviated so far from Eastman and Liard's original vision, that I can't blame them for not 100% liking the series. Now that I'm 23, I truly appreciate the darker tone of the 2003 series, and IMO, it is the superior of the two. I just miss Rocksteady and Bebop.

Huh they actually did a decent job of getting people who sounded like the characters. Color me impressed....Though the intro is much much worse than the US one.

Ironic I just finished watching disc 1 of season 4 of the 2003 series a few moments ago. I'll have to check this out tomorrow since I am tired and need to go to bed.

Didn't you get the memo? They're in the big leagues now, playing with the older kids. They've been made office supervisor, which means no more firing staple guns at the Donny Osmond-lookalike. Comprende?

That's what happens when websites get popular and they make the evening news. It's a shame.
