Oh, man. Thats just terrible. Man, he's one of my favorite actors. A Knights Tale is one of my top movies. He just had a baby not too long ago.

God be with his family.

Now if I'm not mistaken, wasn't he playing the Joker IN the new Batman movie? It's a shame he had to go before a big role like that could make it out to the public that loved him.

What the heck? This sucks tons. I loved Heath Ledger. He was such a talent.

This is going to boost batmans box office by alot just for the "final film" factor. Much like Brandon Lee and the Crow.

Really though, my sarcasm aside, this is just terrible news. Gotta hate it for the family, not just for his death, but what they've already been going through if indeed this was drug related. God bless 'em. :/

this seriously sucks. he was a talented young actor that was only getting better with each new project. i can't help but think how bummed i am going to be when i see TDK, knowing it is one of his last works.

I feel for the family, his parents, and his kid.

Man I am just about in shock at this. He just wrapped filming on literally his biggest role in a movie ever and now he's gone. He mentioned that playing the Joker was one of the most taxing times his mind has ever gone through. I just hope his portrayal didn't somehow help cause his death. Man he just had a child with his ex wife not 2 years ago.

NO! Aww man! This is so sad...Heath Ledger was an awesome actor, AWESOME. Hope The Dark Knight is a good one for his last movie.

reports are saying that he had pills strewn around him. i guess that suggests that he OD'd. i read someone's speculation that it could have been "character immersion gone wrong."

I didn`t mean to sound like he deserved to die, he didn`t, but seeing as he played the joker, I just had this morbid thought he might have had a grin plastered on his face when they found him.that`s all I mant with my statement okay Bumblebee-otch?

That's my concern as well. Theres getting into your characters mind, and getting into your characters mind and not being able to pull yourself back out of it.

He understood you fine. It was just in really poor taste is all.

Part of me wants to believe this is some stunt to promote the Dark Knight but I know it's not.

I loved him in Brokeback Mountain. What a phenomenal actor. And what a shame and a waste. I always wondered what was keeping him and his girl from really committing. Perhaps this is why they broke up.

Just sadness.

That's sad news. If he did die of a OD, then that's an incredibly stupid way to go especially with his career finally taking off.
