You need a goat, infused with the blood of your closest friend and your worst enemy. When the demon Shigethlukar the Worldbreaker rises, offer him this tainted beast. If he becomes angry, slay him with a Thrice-blessed Sword. If he is appeased, ask him to make you a signature, but be sure to speak in the Ancient-tongue.

Or, you make a picture in the image editor of your choice, no more than either 500 pixels by 300 pixels (Or vice versa), and no more than 40 kilobytes. Upload it to an image hosting site (I suggest Photobucket). Then, come back here with the URL of the image, and go into the User Control Panel. Find the place to change your signature, and place something like this in the little box:

Code: Select all

Which will come out as this:

What kind of Computer do you have? Dosent your computer have some sort of application that holds all your photos and allows you to export them. For instance on a Mac you have iPhoto for all your photos, iTunes for all you music, iMovie for all your movie projects, iDVD for Dvd stuff and so on. Usually on an application like iPhoto you can import the photo into your library then adjust the size and quality and then export it. Thats the way I do it in my iPhoto. Surely a PC ( I take it thats what your on or you wouldnt be asking this topic) must have something similiar.
Or you could try
http://www.picresize.com/

but thats limited.

Yeah, My Documents is usually there for Word Documents, music, video and the like, but can be saved anywhere (I assume that Mac has that feature, or I would have heard and made fun of it by now). Paint can be used to resize stuff, though that usually doesn't work well, so most people use Photoshop or a third party program. Although I only used Paint for my sig.

Actually, Windows has an analogue for everything you listed:

iTunes = Windows Media Player
iMovie = Windows Movie Maker
iDVD = I don't think we have anything specific for that, but since DVD players are standard on all PCs now, I'm sure we do.
iPhoto = Windows Photo Gallery and Paint.

yeah Macs have their own DVD player too but iDVD is a software used to make DVD's. Like if you have movie clips or whatever and you want to put them on a DVD that can play on DVD players you can do so and make your Own menus for them too. kinda like DVD studio pro but easier and free with all Mac's. The iLife suite (iMove/iTunes/iDVD/iPhoto/Grageband)comes with all Mac's.
But I'm sure PC's have the same kinda stuff.

Well...kinda. I have DVD-RW, so I can open an explorer window, and then drag and drop files onto the DVD. Then, I can do it over and over. It's like a really shiny flash drive.

Though, to be fair, I've never found the filetype to make something playable on a DVD player. Partially because I never cared. (Since with VLC, the Holy God of all Media Players, I can play ANYTHING)

If you want to watch something on DVD, it has to be converted to .Vob format. Nero Pro has a feature that can do just that for you.

Interesting. I did it the first way too, and it worked out really well for me.

Go figure.

(But you know, those demons aren't very good with photoshop, so I didn't even use the one he made me.)

I gotta say, writing in a feux-Lovecraft style is hard since I've never actually read HP Lovecraft.
