Michael Bay's latest project

So what is one of Hollywood's biggest directors to do between movies?

TV advertisements of course!

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia in an attempt to make it's self look better (HA! Good luck there) have begun a new advertising campaign to make it relate to Australian's better.

The first stage is a behind-the-scenes look at a tv ad (directed by Bay himself) being presented to the Commonwealth Bank for the first time.

The ad of course is done in typical over-the-top Bay style including Mad Max-esque Road Warrior Koalas as well as digs at Bay's over-the-top style.

Check it out here (scroll down a bit for it) and have a good chuckle.

I saw that commercial a few days ago. Pretty cool. I like Bay's commercial work.

So does Hollywood. That's why they pay him to make 2 hour commercials.

I had no idea koalas were so dangerous.
How do Australians sleep at night knowing those
little war mongers are out there driving around?

nope.

The drop bears keep us all safe at night.

It's a terrible ad though, and I'll be seeing it a lot over the next month since the Commonwealth Bank sponsors the One Day Cricket Series. :-(

And I still say Bay was not acting in the Ad, but being himself.

Right now I feel like the duck in your avatar. :-(

Why would anyone ever pay for cable? So you can watch TV? Pffft.

Actualy, my LandLord just switched services and told the cable company to turn off service to the house. In doing so they shut down my account as well(!?!) I can't guarentee that I'll be home till the weekend so I'm currently paying for a blank screen!

On the bright side, I don't have to watch that friggin comercial till it gets fixed :D

But my point is, watching TV is retarded and pointless. For the few good shows out there, there's bittorrent, DVD releases, and netflix.

"Yeah, but we f__ing need it"

I agree most shows suck, but their are alot that don't. I remember laughing at my dad as a kid for watching Discovery, but you know what, when I got alittle older it turns out they kick ass, they fight and blow stuff up and it's educational cause you can take notes.

TV is enjoyable, educational, and great for backround noise.

I won't watch everything, I'm no mindless drone to the screen. But the same way I'd hate it if someone took away my books, bots, art suplies, ability to go hiking, beer, acess to these forums, and so on...

For anti TV people, yeah it can make you lazy more so than quality reefer. Don't bash it, just learn when to turn it off.

I heard he's directing a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Maybe he'll cast movie Megatron as Freddy Krugger.

No make up required. All he needs is the hat and sweater.
