KALAMAZOO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Officers made a large crack cocaine bust in Kalamazoo County, and it all started in a Meijer parking lot.

The officers stopped a car at the Portage Meijer store on Westnedge. They were looking for a suspected drug dealer.

The male passenger in the car started running and police found him a few blocks away at the Steak and Shake with a chewed bag of crack cocaine. He admitted trying to swallow the bag during the chase.

Officers searched the vehicle and found another bag of crack cocaine.

During the stop other KVET officers went to the suspected drug dealer's residence at the Briargate Apartments and found a loaded 1933 Luger handgun and approximately four ounces of crack cocaine. Police estimate the crack to be worth over 12 thousand dollars.

The suspect was arrested on a parole violation, and police plan on handing over the evidence for federal prosecution.

The female driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of crack cocaine.

That Meijers is literally a two minute drive away from me, and that isn't an exaggeration. Me and Tweezy bought a weekend's worth of games, snacks, and movies there.

Wow, I had no clue you and the Tweez lived in Kalamazoo.

But I'm not really surprised by this drug bust. At the Meijer in Jackson, on E. Mich Ave, this guy had a portable meth lab in the back of his pickup truck. Parked there all the friggin' time, I parked next to him a few times while doing a couple late night toy-runs. I'm glad the meth lab didn't explode.

Then my parents have some drug dealers living don the street from them, I guess they picked a good location, it's close to 1-94.

Then there was the entire School House incident. I hate my old town.

Wow....where I live, that type of thing happens almost everyday! Between crack and meth, there is a bust in my neighborhood at least once a week..and last week, it was something totally different....HEROIN! YAY! NOT!

Back on the street I lived in at uni there was a drugs bust on a house opposite mine. These students had been cultivating their own weed for a few months and were taken down by an armed response team whilst my friend and I watched from our living room. North Wales police overkill always amuses me.

We have a huge meth problem here. THe main reason is because it is so rural. They can put a meth lab in a small camper and hide our anywhere. To make it worse our county voted in a Sheriff that is one of the boys instead of who will enforce the law. The drug problem is much worse now that my neighbor is no longer the sheriff. As soon as my house sells we are moving. We are tired of the 50 mile commute to work anyways.

You are in Missouri. You know meth labs. Fact of life here.

When a house, apartment or trailer explodes, everyone automatically assumes it was a meth lab...and nine times outta ten, you'd be right!

Meth has been an increasingly huge problem in Washington state here too where there are still a lot of rural areas that contain most of the meth labs. My next door neighbors got raided by the police and had their pot growing operation shut down and were arrested and the crack heads I lived next to many years ago got shutdown and they had their house and cars seized by the state, they had been selling crack for decades out of that house before they were finally shut down.

Back home, they used to grow weed underneath the band room, and the kid next door to me was a drug dealer. But still, it's kind of freaky.

I used to live in a duplex...the other half had a meth lab explode in it in the middle of the night.

Luckily the fire department shut the fire down before it destroyed our half

I have a drug dealer across from me and one down the street. They're in jail now, but it's nothing new.

I live a hair outside of Newark, and just across town from JC.

Drug busts, shootings, homeless, we got it all! It's not the type of area I recomend, but man, my apartment is huge and the rent is cheap.

Gotta take the good with the bad and be careful where you walk your dog at night, thats about it.

If you don't get involved with that stuff, it'll normaly leave you be.

And actualy, when I lived in the suburbs. Vandalizm and DWIs and drug charges where way more rampant than here.

Then again, no one ever got shot in Carlstadt.

With out a doubt.

Again, I'm not involved with anything. Beer and Bots take up enough of my money and brain cells.

Still, I've lived in both worlds. It's funny how the guy rolling a joint outside of a StarBucks and scoffs at how horrid city crime is doesn't realize that what he just lit came frome there!

I love when these guys speak there enlightened words not realizing they're superficial enablers to the situation.

I love it more when they get busted and are handed a taste of the penalty of where their $50 actualy goes!

The coffee house conversation always goes from how they should do something about it, towards how these things need to change.

I'll stick to drinking and bots till the right Democrat sayes ok, blunts are legal now.

In our county that seems to move around. I live across from the city park. ( City HA there is 130 people in our city!) Anyways there was this little store that did not make it and the friend of the owner had a son who needed a place to live. He was a meth user, maker, and seller. He had been in prison for killing some guy while high on meth. He would have the nastiest people over and they would party, fight and use drugs. I spent months telling Jessica we could not go to the park even though she loved to go there. The police here would not do anything. Some lady was doing donuts in the middle of the road while there was a year old baby not even in a car seat in the back seat. Still they did nothing! I used to say Superman where are you when we need you?!? The guy finally got kicked out. The lady opened the place up to clean it and I could smell the stinch over at my house.

Oh gosh we are terribly boring people. Harry will have a drink or two but no more then that. If he has anymore he gets very ill the next day. I cannot stand the flavor or the sick feeling myself so I do not drink at all. Both of us quit smoking years ago. So now the worst thing we do is caffeine.

Up in toronto...I was in detox at a local hospital...second hand crack..
neighbour in the unit above...spent an overnite...they saw by samples..
Anywho done the appropriate actions...and hopefully,this guy's heart
explodes...

Ex wife....she's dead same...Look out for who yas care about...
that's why I'm lonely by choice...and if I see monkey business..things,
always work out....too friendly,asking for money,or have nothing....
looks sick....keep your distance..take steps...

...still have a few
b.s headaches,but body never hooked to it...hate relations,bio wise are
good.
