They're gonna need a bigger boat indeed.

That's a shame.

(It's funny, though, I was on another message board where this news was posted and somebody asks, "Who's Roy Scheider?" People responded with, "Dude, Jaws." And the first post replied with, "Yeah, what's that?" Kids these days. How can you make it through your teenage years without having seen Jaws at least once?

Swear to goodness, "Jaws" is the reason I don't swim in the ocean anymore)

RIP Chief Brody.

I admit that I've yet to get around to seeing Jaws  , but I still remember Scheider's portrayal of the likeable Captain Bridger on seaQuest. This is sad news to hear, indeed. :(

Aww man. Good actor. Even in the new The Punisher, he was good.

And to quote a great line, especially when directed at a freaking shark, "Come on you son of a bitch".

:-(

There are people in this world that consider the Nintendo 64 to be 'Old School'. Not knowing Jaws seems reasonable at this point.

Still, this sucks. RIP Capt. Bridger. You will be missed.

How sad for them.
Shame about the Chief.

Don't forget him playing Dustin Hoffman's Big Assassin Brother in Marathon Man.

Be he Chief Brody or Captain Bridger - RIP.
