What other toy lines do you collect other than tf?

I know this question has been asked before but I never really had a good answer up untill now. I always just collected tf and no other toy lines beside that one, and when there were no tf around to collect or they were running low I would start buying dvd and games for my xbox 360. But just in the last few months I started collecting g.i.joe 25th Anniversary and they are amazing figures granted I don't collect the g.i.joe side of the series only the cobra side because I have always liked them better. But now to get to the thing that got me thinking about what they could do with transformers not create a whole cross over line. But what I was thinking is with the new transformers universe series they could do like the g.i.joe 25th anniversary figures were some come in a two pack which includes a comic book which I think is published by devil's due but I'm a 100% certain that is this case, but here is my idea hasbro I think has a good working relationship with idw publishing well what if they packaged two deluxe figures along with a idw comic about those figures. This would give the people who haven't been exposed to the comics a chance to check out what idw is doing and maybe start collecting the comics as well. So I would love hear thoughts on this idea as well as what other toy lines you collect and your ideas on how they could improve them.

When I first started buying toys again, I went for anything and everything....

However anything and everything cost just that.

I pretty much centralized myself on TFs as my collectors indulgence. I still keep an eye on a few vintage names, however most new product I buy normaly falls by the way side alot sooner than later.

Sorry Todd.

I collect the Venoms from any Spiderman line. Also, to a lesser degree I collect Xena Warrior Princess figures, but there aren't so many of those to collect.

I used to collect more than TFs but everything has pretty much tapered off. I collected Marvel Legends until early last year when the higher prices and lower interest characters killed it for me. I also used to collect DCD but there's only so many different height (but other than that ideantical) Justice Leagues I needed. Swimming Jar Jar killed Star Wars for me back in '99-'00. My collection habits are cyclical stretching over years and years. Additional pack-ins like comic books or the like just don't do anything for me and I still can't get over the fact that a Star Wars figure costs $9 and Marvel Legends are up to $13 at the lowest, while TFs prices haven't changed terribly much over the same time frame.

Sadly I tend to like things that "suck" so they get discontinued and I cant buy crap anymore. Medabots was a series I really liked and the kit toys, though non-transforming were really cool. They were basicaly easy ass gundam kits but man were they spiffy looking.

As for your comic book/ toy package thing it would be wickedly awesome if it were to happen. Im pretty sure its marvel legends that does that right? Well those are awesome and they really did get me into wanting to read comics again. Hasbro should look into this, good idea man :APPLAUSE:

I have little bits of everything in my collection: Masters of the Universe, M.A.S.K, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Thundercats etc etc. I guess the "main" ones I collect are Transformers, Star Trek and Star Wars. As for which gets the most attention, it varies day to day!

I will buy any Clone repaint that Star Wars offers.
I also love love love Spawn figures. Macfarlanes' Dragons series, all kinds of dragon-related things. SOTAs Macfarlane-esque figures.

I used to collect The Corps figures, and along with my brother wrestling figures and Star Wars figures. But we've both grown up now (well I say grown up, but I still collect toys  ) so I just collect TFs.

Every now and then I'll pick up an Evangelion or Ikki Tousen figure. I used to collect Star Wars and Spawn figures but the increasing price and fragility of some of them kind of turned me off them. Comics I just stopped all together, I was spending too much each month and they were the first thing to go.

I don't collect anything else really, however, I saw the pics for the up coming Iron-Man Movie Toy line the other day in a thread on here, and something sparked in me. I think I'll try to pick up a few Iron-Men from that line when they come out.

Also looking at the Marvel Legends series. The Build a Figure set with the Brood parts in each figure looks specially enticing.

Right now, the only thing I'd spend money on till I'm broke is Transformers, but I might pick up a cool Lego set every now and then.

Got some pics to go with my answer, just as a sample of what I have. None are current. :(

Godzilla, my first love even though not my first collection. It fluctuates a lot and doesn't tend to increase very much because I'm oddly picky about what I get. I stick mostly to Bandai 6" vinyl, with the occasional chogokin or vinyl from Marmit or Marusan. Also have an enormous collection of SDs.

Ultraman is quickly growing to be my biggest figure collection! It's already topped Transformers and standard Godzilla figures. At this point I have between twenty and thirty kaiju in my menagerie, from the iconic Baltan and Zetton to the obscure like Sadora or my six Ultraman Nexus Space Beasts in the picture.

M.U.S.C.L.E. is an old, obscure childhood love I've given some attention more recently. I have over 160 figures currently, with another 100+ on the way. Love these crazy little guys, not sure yet if I can say the same about the Japanese Kinnikuman storyline. :P

I don't really collect figures outside of TFs, but I do own a Gundam Zero and Epyon as well as Cyber-Spawn.

On a side note, though, I do own at least one of every Yu-gi-oh card from the first 11 series (Legend of Blue-Eyes through Ancient Sanctuary).
