Well lets see. Since it's Valentines day I'll be doing my usual sulking and brooding while cursing the name of St. Valentine until about 6-7pm where I'll make myself a nice fish dinner for one, then before the clock hits midnight I'll plot how I can destroy this infernal holiday once and for all.

Needless to say. I dislike Valentine's Day. A lot.

Valentine's Day is perfect for single guys. The women who are alone at the bar tonight are easy pickins. No committed relationships for me. No 100 dollar diamond necklaces to be bought. B-)

Me too! You know they actually make "Happy Anti-Valentines-Day" decorations?? I saw them today and got me some! Broken hearts and whatnot! My neoghbors think I am just being bitter and all...which is not true...even when I WAS married, we didn't do V-Day..we both hated the whole idea of it....still do!

The gifts of chocolates and flowers and bling are accepted 365 days a year at my house!

Even though I am happily married neither my husband or myself acknowledged Valentines day. I always thought of this day for stores to have a reason to make more money. I was due to have a baby on February 6th neither of us ever thought she would wait until Valentines day to finally get here. She did so now we have a birthday party on V Day :D Jessica is 3 today.

Well Anti-Valentines Day is just are stupid as Valentines Day, getting decorations for the anti of the holiday, defeats the purpose of it being "anti-Valentines day" because you're still spending money on stupid crap, which is all probably made by the same company anyway.

So not only, for a 24 hour period on Valentine's Day itself, but also the weeks leading up to Valentines day, I get to be reminded how I have nobody. Now I get people saying "happy Anti-valentines day! We're losers and proud!" Which doesn't help the situation at all.

Every Valentine's Day, I'm reminded of how great my life is when I see those poor suckers spending their whole paycheck on their wives/girlfriends. Everytime the Kay Jewelers or Jared commercials come on, I laugh like a madman, and say "Thank God it's not me." How romantic a man is is judged on how much money he spent. Single guys should be happy. Valentine's is a chick holiday.

So can u read minds, are u a self conscious virgin, or do u think that what u posted sounds like something someone who has no "romantic" experience would say? :-?

I cant think of any other reasons u would presume that?

I don't presume, I know you meant me. It doesn't take a nuclear physisist to know you meant me, seeing as how I'm the only guy who's expressed his happiness of being single, which by your standards shouldn't be possible. Ballpark?

I wouldnt say that-actually my personal philosophy is that u cant be happy with anyone until u are happy with urself-so of course is possible to be happy solo.

Although, again being honest, I dont buy ur brovado, its far too macho for me to accept it at face value

See, Grim wasn't trying to name anyone. But even just venturing forth the question is like a lighthouse say "here I am!"

If you're a virgin. Fine, nobody holds it against you. You're happy being single. Enjoy it.

Because then you'll find that one person you truly care about, the first, then she'll rip out your heart, burn it to ashes, then rub the ashes into your eyes.

People who haven't been intimate or in a serious relationship can't really speak on the matter.

Then once you've had that relationship come and go. Single people miss that companionship. Then people in a relationship sometimes miss being single.

It's a true case of "You don't know what you have until it's gone."

Also brings up another one "No good deed goes unpunished."
