So, for those of us in North America, tonight we'll be having a total lunar eclipse.

It should last from 10pm(eastern and end around midnight.

As a special added bonus. We may be able to see the destruction of the failed US satellite, which ill be shot down at 10:30pm eastern time.

Haha, yes it is! I wonder if we can see the satellite being toasted out of the atmosphere?

You should have titled this topic BLOOD MOON! ;) I'm going to head out around 10pm to see the moon...

I'm so glad the sky was clear for me. The nights of the last two recent meteor showers and the night Mars was supposed to look huge were completely overcast. I love stuff like this!

It is totally cloudy here. I'll have to wait two years now.

I watched the whole thing as it happened! First one I have watched in it's entirety in my life...Was quite a neat thing! They were afraid we'd miss it because we have a huge winter storm coming in a matter of hours, and they were thinking the clouds would obscure it...We lucked out!

Sure made Venus bright!

I was late for the full eclipse because I was playing Cthulhu with my friends. We took a break at the windows to see the crescent. Then we went back to the game and got sucked into the Dreamlands. I knew my character should have stayed with the astronomers' club instead of talking to the cultists!

Dammit! I wanted to see spaceships explode!

Seriosuly, DARPA, why don't we have more spaceships and battles in which to use them?!

I got to see most of it, couldn't see any satellite debree or explosion or anything.

But yeah, saw most of the lunar eclipse, it was pretty cool, But I didn't watch it finish, by about 11, the tips of my fingers were frozen, so I called it a night.

For anyone who missed it, or those who didn't get the opportunity to see it.

Where I was at it started at 7:43 and ended about 11 pm (CST). It was pretty cool to see for the first time.

Yeah, it was a complete disappointment for most UKers this time around, with far too much cloud cover to see anything. Saying that, I had a brilliant time at the rave celebrating the eclipse. Good ol' students.
