I don't know anything about Voltron, but I think that promo vid is just fanmade, it kinda lacks the look of a anime from 2007, it looks like one of the most lovestruck fan projekts ever!

If the promo is fan-made, damn, thats hella awesome.

If it's real, I pray it doesn't go the way of the He-man revamp.

The Voltron 2 shown is Daltanious, which is froma mid 70s series similar to Gaiking, or Combattler. Your standard Bandai/GoDaiKin robot. Daltanious was not Voltron 2, as AlBeGas was.

I suspect that this was pre-Voltron on TV, kind of the pilot for Voltron as I doubt Peter Cullen would voice a fan made youtube video. I suspect when that Matchbox chose AlBeGas for Voltron 2 irregardless of this pilot, but since it was low in popularity it never was brought over.

In regards to the Promo, I think it is fan made.

Daltanious (I have 2 in my collection, simply an awesome robot):

I new you would have so good input..........I figured out that the Voltron 2 in the vid was "Daltanious" late last night. But the vid claim to be from a Voltron DVD box set.

So I was wondering if at sometime in an other market did they ever include "Daltanious" into the Voltron myth.

By the way I havent seen a "Daltanious" toy in at least 15 years...asome that you have 2.....I envy you

GoDaiKin is my passion in robot collecting, I think they are like art in terms of robots.

One thing I want to add about that promo is that it looks like it came from Spain or South America. The art style looks similar to other animated series I've seen come out of Latin countries. Just a hunch, but I still think it is either a localized attempt or unofficial.

Thank you for knowing the name of that guy Getter, if you run a Wiki search on him it'll tell you that when different series where looking to be imported. Golion wasn't even shown.

However when World Event Productions (like myself) couldn't remember the names of any of these series, so they said, "We'll take the one with the lion"

Hence the acidental birth of Voltron!

Oh boy you would have loved these two stores that I used to visit back home......NYC's China town.

One was called "Waku" and they had a few GoDaiKin's figures amongst others hanging in there window.

I forgot the name of the other store but the oner claimed to have every GoDaiKin,Voltron and every Japanese Power Ranger figure ever made in his collection and about 90% on display in the shop.

Boy do I miss living in NYC

Agreed, that was an awesome revival!

Just way to short lived. I recently ordered a second Skeletor to keep sealed. I wish this line lasted and that Evil-Lyn wasn't averaging $60.

Come On Stupid Mattel, He-Man and Wheeled Warriors! Bring them back and leave them back! Stop screwing it up.

And if you did Captain Power to...
