I loved it, but I still think the German title was much more fitting, I just think Batman of the Future sounds better than Batman Beyond.

The animation was ace, the stories awesome and the villains cool, I just loved the fact that it connected to the old Batman cartoon.

I loved the whole show when I was little, still by the way.

Though the episode Epilogue from Justice League Unlimited sort of ruined it for me.

But all in all, it was an excellent future take on Batman. But not one as good as Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

Still can't believe it was Eric from Boy Meets World who voiced Batman. Aww, Will Friedle's a good actor anyway. Shame all he's doing now is Kim Possible.

Well to tell the truth the inconsistence didnt pop up till the Justice League serries started up.

Even before Terry [Batman Beyond] made a appearance in Justice League there were questions because Joker was still alive in Justice League.

We know that in "Return of the Joker" it was shown that Tim Drake the second Robin killed the Joker soon after Nightwing left Gotham while Batgirl remained by Batmans side......presumably to begin the love affair that was mention early in the Beyond" serries.

In the flash back to Jokers death scenes Tim Drake appeared to be no older then he did at the end of the "New Adventures of Batman and Robin" serries.About 12 or 13 years of age and standing at about the hight of Batman's lower chest.

Now that alone could be answered by saying that Justice League took place before Tim Drak [Robin] killed Joker but then came the direct to DVD Batman movie "Mystery of the Batwoman" which Bruce Tim [the lead producer] said was in continuity with the Batman Animated and Justice League. He also said the movie took place between seasons 1 and 2 of Justice League.

In "Mystery of the Batwoman" Tim appears to be visibly older....not only is he now standing at Batmans sholders but he is also old enough to fly and pilot a boat. This suggests that Tim is now about 16 years old.

Thats far older then he looked in the flash back of Jokers death in "Return of the Joker".

An other inconsistencie from "Mystery of the Batwoman" is the fact that Barbra [Batgirl] has left Gotham for college.Whick according to "Beyond" never happened.

And also....the so called affair that Bruce and Barbra had as reported in "Beyond" seems to be a one sided crush in "Mystery of the Batwoman".

One more inconsistencie is that in the episode of Justice League where old Bruce of "Beyond meets with Batman of the Justice League....old Bruce mentions not remembering that he ever met a older version of himself.

To me this all points to the fact that "Batman Beyond" is a possible future for the Batman we saw from the animated serries threw the Justice League serries.

F Justice league, Batman Beyon is older, JLA is just a different show, in my eyes.

Thats one way of looking at it but like I said Bruce Timm said its connected to Batman animated.

Also like I said most of the continuity issues in linking "Beyond" to "Animated" come from the Direct to DVD movie "Mystery of the Batwoman" which was a Batman movie not a Justice League movie.

How many DVD movies are there?
Man I do hope the German petition succeeds, I just have to have Batman DVDs.
All I know of is the Batman TAS that cam on TV and the Batman of the Future show, all the movies to those shows I just learn about over the internet, so based on what I saw, they are in continuety.
And JLA had a different artstyle so I never thought about watching it.

In whats been dubbed "the Timmy verse" [named after the lead producer Bruce Timm] there were 4 Animated Batman on DVD movies that shared the same continuity as the Animated serries and the Justice League serries.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm whish also had a Theatrical release.

Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero direct to DVD/Video

Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman direct to DVD/Video

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker direct to DVD/Video

JLA shared the same animated style as "The new Advetures of Batman and Robin" and the "Superman & Batman" serries. I'm not sure what they were called where you live but the shows had Nightwing and the new Robin in them.

Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman also shared the same animated style with JLA.

Batman Superman? Never heared of that, I know there was an eppy in Superman inwhich Batman made an apearance, or so I remember... but a whole show?!

And the new Adventures of Batman and Robin were just called Batman TAS.
JLA and BTAS have the same stile? strange I always thought JLA had a different looking batman. :?

The only difference in style between Batman from TNAOBAR and JLA are the colors of his cowl and cape. They changed from black and gray to black and blue.

There were more then one episode where ether one or the other crossed over to each others show.

There was the 3 part "Worlds Finest" and two others that I can think of right now.

"Demon Reborn" Ra's Al Gual tries to steel the youth of Superman.

"Knight Time" featured Brainiac taking control of Bruce Wayne in an atempt to make a new body and a ship.Superman pretends to be Batman in this episode.

"The All New Batman/Superman Adventures" was just a hour long show that featured two single episodes from the individual characters serries. They also ran new episodes but those episodes could also be considered part of the individual serries and may have aired that way in other markets.

Heres the opener to The All New Batman/Superman Adventures

Here it had a different tital but it was a continuation of TAS.

As others pointed out there were very minor differences.
