a few days ago i asked a question that was inappropriate about where to find episode downloads for transformers animated. i should have realized it was a mistake and i'm not making excuses. i was given a level 1 board warning from getterdragon and i was wondeding if it will go away over time, barring further problems with board etiquette which will be extreamly rare with me, it only happened this time because it slipped my mind that asking for download was wrong. will it go down or am i stuck at level 1.

I think that it'll stay.
I'm not too sure about that though.
How about PMing one of the Mods and asking them?

... what's a level 1 warning?
Seriously, was there a new warning system introduced because I just looked in GD and didn't see anything.

It's a part of PHPBB3. There is a warning system set up to make things smoother. Now when you are warned, a mostly automated PM will be sent to your inbox. It states that you violated the rules of the site, what post violated it, and any other comments one of us adds to it.
The warning will not expire as it helps us keep track of who is being out of line without sifting through 40+ pages of issued warnings in a topic. I've been wanting to talk to Ryan to see if we can have it clear after 3 months or something. We'll see how things go.

Fair enough. But maximus primus said a "level 1" warning. Are there different levels or is "level" just a fancy word and it really means his first warning?
And can we check ourselves to see how many warnings we have?

Yeah level 1 just means the first warning.
Only way you can keep track is by the PM's that are sent to your inbox. If you haven't gotten one, you haven't been warned after we switched over.

So previous records are what, gone?
I ask because i've had suspensions (some with no warnings) from a while back and i've asked a number of times just where I stand.
Of course this is going back a fair while now.

All that info is still saved as well. Just not in the new system.

But how do WE the ordinary member find out such things?
When you've been here a few years you tend to lose track of things.
I just want to know what my status is, and i've asked this a couple of times from MP to LG to CB and I just can't seem to get an answer.
So what i'm asking is, is there anyway for us the ordinary member to access our "permanent record" without having to bug the Mods/Admins?

Nope. Though as far as I know, if you haven't been warned in the last year, you're in the clear. We don't have a blacklist or anything that we throw members on when they step over the line. You get a warning, we log it and that's the end of it.
