GOOD NEWS!!!

I have been buying a lot of TFs lately because I got my tax rebate, $60, and I sold a gaming CPU for $150 and got another $100 for my b day. Now $32 went towards my truck for an oil change and filter replacement so there went some cash right there, then I spent $90 of my 150 in 2 days on eBay. Needless to say TFs drain a wallet pretty quick when that wallet doesn't get a paycheck :(.

BUT, in light of recent events I have once again put in an application at Wal-Mart and not even a day later I hear back from them, they wanted another reference because they couldn't a hold of one of mine, now they finally talked to her and I'm waiting to hear back for an interview. I'm hoping I get this job because I need some extra income so I can get out and live on my own, or with a room mate if anyone here lives in or close to Lake City, Florida :).

Why is this good news and why did I post in the toy section you ask?

Because Wal-Mart employees get an employee discount, so I'm thinking $50 of every paycheck will go on a wal-mart cash card and every pay check I'll put 50-100 more on it. Then I can buy a lot of TFs in one fell swoop ;). Also I'd start soon and Classics don't come out till August or September, so I could have quite a bit of TF spending money saved up for that time, plus I'd work there so I'd know exactly when they were coming out. I hope I get this job, I'm looking forward to getting out of my mom's house and town and bringing back a huge haul of TFs every paycheck.

Best of luck man!

Not to be a buzz kill though, you may wanna save alittle more of that money though as moving out is expensive, and with the hook up you seem to be getting, your gonna need an extra room :D

I'll save a good bit of it. I'll save enough for living expenses, emergency expenses and rent, I'll only use what I KNOW I can afford on TFs. first thing I need/want to buy is a new gaming PC as my old one died, thankfully my dad said he'd help pay for it.

Edit: Besides one paycheck should be MORE than enough to get all the Classics figures I want when they come out. Right now I almost have all the current figures I want, except for a few like Universe Nemesis Prime.

When working retail, always expect to get less than what your mind tells you what you should be earning.

As in, if you think you'll make $8.00 an hour, expect to make $6.50 or whatever minimum wage is down there.

Retail completely and utterly sucks to work in. You wear your ass out for very little pay.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you, but I really wouldn't get my hopes up of moving out on Wal-Mart income.

I'm more or less looking to move in with a room mate, anywhere's better than living with my mom. I'll work wal-mart a while doing stock and hopefully save some cash and build up some more muscle. After working their for maybe a year I'll apply elsewhere or something, maybe try to go to college or try to open my own business.

Yay for 10% Employee discount :). Also will be making around $7.90 an hour if I get the nightstocking position and I earn an extra dollar an hour if I work Sundays :D

You'd think moving away from ole Ma is better than anything, til you're paying your own bills and rent. Ma doesn't look so bad after a while (trust me, I know)

But good luck on finding a new place. It can be lots of fun to finally move out.

I know it's not really an upgrade or anything. I'll pay my own bills and buy my own food, but to me that's freedom. I already clean the house, do the laundry, wash the dishes and cook all the meals, so to me this will be even work, plus with an apartment I won't really have any yard work to do. Sure I'd have more money if I lived at home for a year while working, but I prefer freedom, plus I can buy TFs for cheap and sale them on eBay for profit. I'm already gonna work there for a few months before moving out so I can save some cash, but I wanna move out by at least the summer time.

Some people break away and adapt a lot better than others. I'm to the point where adding a $900 rent payment won't bug me.

Freedom is worth the cost, besides you wont be working in retail forever anyway :)

What puzzles me is why you can't just change the oil and filter yourself.....but anyway, have fun with it, and just remember money doesn't always flow.

Haven't learned how yet, plan to learn soon though. I feel it's a waste of money to pay for something so simple. Plus doing it myself would give me a sense of accomplishment.

Anyways they called me back today and left me a message to call them back by 5pm today, didn't get the message till about 6pm, or call them tomorrow after 12pm. They said they want an interview, hopefully it'll all go good and I'll be employed soon

Step 1: Get large pan.
Step 2: Slide ass and pan under car.
Step 3: Slide said pan under oil cap.
Step 4: Unscrew oil cap.
Step 5: Let all oil drain.
Step 6: Unscrew oil filter.
Step 7: Screw oil cap back on
Step 8: Dab finger in oil and grease the seal on new filter.
Step 9: Screw new filter on. Tighten with Oil Wrench
Step 10: Fill car with 3-5 quarts of oil depending on how much is needed.

10 easy steps and 20 minutes of your time. Just make sure you get the correct oil and filter of course.

And make sure the seal does'nt come off the oil filter and remain stuck on the vehicle. You don't want a new filter put on with 2 seals. It will leak like a bitch. Very easy to miss if you don't check it. My friend was a manager at a lube stop and told me all kinds of horror stories. People have even forgot to put the damn filter back on or put the drain plug back in and fill the vehicle with oil! Crazy!

Wow, that would suck. But next time I have to get my oil changed I'll try to do it myself if I have the time. My mom bitches at me to take it to wal-mart again to do it I'll make her take it, I'd rather do it myself. Anyways they want to give me an interview I just have to call the people back and set it up.

I called them, they want to hire me as a Cart Pusher for outside. There's nothing good about that :( I'm hoping I can get the night stocking position instead and I resubmitted my application to the wal-mart that's in my town. Hoping to god I can get on over there as a night stocker since it's closer and there seems to be apartments being built right beside it. I'd still rather work in the other wal mart doing night stocking though but I don't feel like commuting just to push carts all day then go home.
