ok so my question is, has any one on this site( ie, ryan or any other mods) ever think of doing a podcast? TFWire.com has a podcas and state that their "the worlds first TF podcast"...now while this may or may not be true its good. but their site is lacking and all it really has is its fourms which arnt that good either....now this site rocks and has got to be the best TF site out there. and the fourms rock to, things get updated enough on here to do a podcast and i think it would be just awsome to hear a podcast from the site insted from another site.
so is id doable? has any one thought of it?

I was thinking about that a while back. Thing with a podcast is you gotta have something interesting and new to say. Podcasts can be done typically twice a week at most, by then the news has been out and you're only repeating what everyone already knows.
It would take exclusives such as interviews, toy reviews and information you can only get through the podcast for it to really work.
EDIT: Yeah, after a quick glance the websites very basic. Going with the TF Animated style logo was a bad choice IMHO. Hard to take anyone serious that bases its website off that. And all the casts are about old info.

well it would be nice to hear other peoples opinions on the topics each week. i know they get typed out but its fun listening to several people talk also. and there can be weekly topics made for each episode and since we got a awsome forum we can use that to help with topics, and questions.

I knew what a podcast was, and I did, at one point, know the reason I made that post. Of course, lack of sleep is about the same as getting drunk for me, specifically in that I remember very little the next morning. So I have no real reason why I made that post, except that I though I would have made a good point.

Good idea. I know in the iTunes Store you Can get The first Episode of Super-God Masterforce and Victory on a Podcast for FREE right to your iPod. But thats it, thats the Only TF anything available on iTunes. Strange for iTunes to give the Ok to those Eps. I dont know why you cant get others though. I always thought that would be cool to buy TF Episodes even though I have all of G1 already on my iPod. Hell I would post some Episodes on the iTunes Podcasts myself if I knew I wouldnt get in trouble. I wonder who in charge allows that.

You know, you can download videos as MP4s from Video Google, right?
I have both Ryan vs. Dorkman fights, the first episode of the Sam&Max cartoon, and (I got this from Newgrounds) Metal Gear Awesome 1.

anyways getting back to the original topic im still serious about this...heck even if the podcast was 30-45min long each week it could work. could do forum guestions, discussing the various series, discuss rumors and such i mean the possabilities are endless. heck i would even love to be apart of it. there need to be more chicago based podcasts out there...and heck if we had to we could do audio adds for the online stores the site supports? so thats where the funding for it could come from.

Time. That is the number one reason. Everyone that works on the site has a normal (by their own standards) life. So having to get a video out on the same day of each week to wrap up everything is time consuming and inconvenient. The second being that people already get their answers from the news on here and in the topics in the forums. People hate having the same info told to them twice, so having a podcast that covered the news would be redundant. Not to mention that all of us live in different areas of the world, in different timezones. So it would be practically impossible to get the folks required together each week.

with proper time management eveyone can work together on it.i mean how do other sites get thigns done...they plan it out...and being in different states means nothing.

What other sites do you speak of? If you mean non transformer ones, then theres a simple answer for that. They either have less content on the site in the first place, and hence have more time to devote to a podcast. Or they have many more staff members and can thereby spread out the work load between more hands, which in turn gives them more free time.
And I again have to ask what would be the point in reiterating the news from the past week when everyone has already read it? Besides the news what all would you expect to be in a podcast from here?

How do you download from Google?
In Google, there's a bunch of links at the top, one of which is for images (And who hasn't used Google Images?). There's another link marked "More," which opens a drop-down menu, one of which is Video.
You probably knew this, it's just so I won't have to explain it later.
When you find the right video (As hosted by Google Video, not YouTube or anything else), under the title on the right-hand side, there's usually a button marked "Download" next to a drop-down menu. if it isn't already, set the drop-down menu to "Video iPod/Sony PSP" and click download. It'll download as an MP4 video.
Though I'm not sure all Google Videos have this feature.

wow...
Ive never heard of doing that ever. Nothing on my google video page has those Features that allows me to do that. And what Videos on Google are NOT YouTube. Google Video is just pages and pages of only YouTube stuff. You almost never find a video thats not YouTube.
What Browser application do you use?

Ah, that's where you're wrong. At the top of any Google Video search page, there's a thing at the top of every search page where you can select whether you want videos from anywhere, or just videos hosted by Google.
Also, any video that has the URL 'video.google.com' is a Google Video video.

I've done it with both Firefox and IE7. (Though I assume it worked with IE6 as well)
