Is there something that happened to youtube without me noticing?
I mean, it's all bloody French now!
No shitting you, whenever I follow a youtube link on this forum or any other website, youtube is in French, now if I type in the address:

http://www.youtube.com, guess what- it turns into http://www.fr.youtube.com and yes it's in French!

That even happens when I type in http://www.youtube.de, this sud be in German, yet it's in blooming French!

Last time I checked youtube was part of Google, and was American, or did the French buy it now?

Looks like you are the victim of a location based redirect.
Try http://de.youtube.com/ and see if that gets you to the German site. If not, you are going to have to try a proxy I guess.

Yet it would be nice to have the English version back, I hate reading stuff I'm used to reading in English in German.

There is http://uk.youtube.com/ as well. Everything should be English on there.

Well that will at least show him that it wasn't Bowser who kidnapped Peach....

He'd probably say "Mamma-mia!" in his horrendously bad pseudo-Italian accent. Despite the fact who knows what kind of abomination is growing in her womb, the thought of Mario and Peach getting it on scares me more than Bowser and Peach, because Mario is just that much more freaky looking.

You know, a slim few actually mourned the passing of Stage 6. Why? Because they rarely advertised their site. They should have done something to get the site into peoples minds. Instead they did nothing and it petered out and died. Blame Divx for it dying, not youtube. Not to mention that you have to install a non essential media device (Divx/Divx Codec) to view anything. Flash is an essential part of viewing probably 30% of the internet's websites properly, and because of that, YouTube had the right idea.

And videos only turn out crap on YouTube because people don't know how to properly encode and compress their videos. For some reason they expect a conversion over to FLV to work perfectly on all of their worthless crap. If people would just save them at 640 x 480 and as an mpeg4 in the first place, you wouldn't see the pixelated crap that half the people on there put up.
