today, or i guess i should say yesterday because it's past midnight now my family got a new dog. my mom wanted another pug after our old one died in january and the one she found a few days ago is a pug-chuauwa hybred that looks nothing like either subspecies, we think there's more in him. his name is neeko which i find funny becuase if you drop an e you get neko which is cat in japanese. so, anyone else get a new pet in the past month or will get one soon.

If coral counts, I'm getting a lot in the next couple of weeks. It is going to hurt my wallet quite a bit more now that I don't work in a pet store anymore.

I would like to get a dog or cat, but the animals I have already take up a lot of time and money. Besides, my marine tank gets more time spent watching and working on than my TV does.

I buy the odd tropical fish on a whim sometimes, if that counts, meaning to get some clown loach as well next time I see some.

I had to give up most of my stranger pets, too time consuming/costly, but I plan on keeping birds again once I get my own place, long way off yet though.

Got two kittens ... must be close to two months ago now.

One likes me. The other's just a bastard.

There's talk of getting a new puppy- a new jack russel to keep our current one company.


Supposedly we'll be getting one in late June, as I finish college for good then and can spend the summer training it.

yay bastard cat! My cat's like that its only nice to me if he wants something he's always given me the evil eye. But on topic I plan on getting a new kitten after Smokey.

Got a puppy a few days ago...some kind of bulldog mix. Turns out it had worms(some common type a lot of puppies have?) Still waiting to see how it turns out.

On another note, one of two hamsters I had died. I think it froze to death.

My parents got a four year old golden retreiver mix not too long ago. Nice dog except it is about 80-90% blind from a virus he got when he was a puppy (my parents suspected that was the case before he was adopted). Suprisingly, he's adapted very well to his vison problems and unless you know about his problem, it's very difficult to tell that he's almost blind. Really nice dog too.

My parents say fi I can keep my room clean long enough, I can get a cat.

Well...better go find a garbage bag.

My mum just told me if I don't have a job this summer we can get a Bengal kitten, as I will be home to look after it. This logic is made of win!^^

...Okay, now my mom says my room has to be clean "Forever" before I can have a cat, and my dad says I can't have one at all.

I'm confused.

EDIT: Okay, now I have to keep my room clean to get a cat, but I can't get one until we move in July.

So I have to keep my room clean, but by the time get a cat, it won't even be my room, so there's no point, but I have to keep it clean anyway.

My parents are assholes.

I got some new vermin a few months ago -

I just got back from getting some food for my Beardeds and on impulse picked up three more Scarlet Hermit Crabs. Ever so often one seems to disappear in my marine tank.

My sister got a 10 week old daschund puppy, we call him Rusty. He's adorably passionate about showing off his little kid mentality. When he chases his tail, he kicks himself in the face; but unphased by this set back immediately goes back to fighting the wiggly menace.

Yep, the Vife and I have a Weimaraner/Black Lab named Freyja.

She's 13 wks and weighs 30+lbs already.

She loves to eat pigs ears, swim and bite her loving masters. Other than that she's friggin' adorable and once she stops teething, our lives will be a lot easier.

She looks like a black lab, but has a narrower nose, longer ears and has the legs and feet of the Weimaraner. Also, we kept her tail long, since she looks more like a Lab.

Once she grows into Maturity, I'm going to get an Amber Thor's hammer and hang it from her collar. We'll have her info on a plate on her collar.
