I dont want people to think Im a Negative person cuz Im not. Even though I feel like I tend to give a Disliking opinion more than the norm, but I just like to vent sometimes when I cant do it in my everyday life. So I wanna vent right now about this Blasted show Im sick of. Im very proud to say that I have not watched a single Episode this entire Season. I know nothing of the contestants other than some of them play instruments now and are quite good. But when I heard that this season was starting I thought "How much more can we possibly take?". Aren't we over it yet? Seeing a Bunch of new Spectacles take over our Tv's , new New William Hung's, Sanjaya's and whom ever else that makes a mockery of our TV watching. And Im sick of ALL the Local News talking about it as apart of their news Broadcast. Especially right after the show just aired and the now news is covering what we just saw 5 minutes ago. And Im tired of All the Shows that wanna give us the "Scoop" on Ryan, Paula, Randy and Simon. WE ALREADY GOT THE SCOOP ON THEM LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT. We know already! They Host American Idol and make Millions of Dollars and......oh yeah, this Season is the Best unlike any other, Just like last year and the year before that. I just cant Believe We as a nation are still amused by it. I thought we would be over it by now.
Or maybe Im the only one.

Ok thats my Vent.

Get over it its just a talent show

I have watched it since season one and I'm proud to say I have watched it every year

Go bash survivor dumbest game show ever

You going to bash Hells Kitchen(another good show) to?

You think this is bad?

Watch the Variety shows of the 70's they were all over the tube back then

I don't watch the competition rounds anymore not after that hack taylor hicks won but rather just the audition rounds as it is PURE COMEDY to see these fools try to sing and the retarded costumes and stunts they try and pull as well as the mini "diva" moments saying stuff like "ohhhh american idol is going to regret not letting me through"

Too funny!

I've been watching it this season because it's the first time we've gotten it a few hours after it airs in America.

But really, it's what, 2 hours a week and people need to bitch about it? You know, change channels and all ...

On the Contrary, like I said.... it's on the Local news, In magazines, in newspapers, on all the new stands, on Entertainment news shows on almost every channel, its everywhere all the time not just 2 hours a week. If it was just 2 hours a week trust me i wouldn't complain. The local news is what really bugs me. I wish they would segregate Entertainment news from Real current events.

Weird. I only hear about it for maybe two full minutes, spread throughout the week. But then, I don't watch entertainment news, and when CNN does their Entertainment news, I'm usually not paying attention.

I consider "talent" programs and "reality TV" to be marketed to the lowest common denominator of the TV viewing population. I've been hoping it oversaturates and pulls back cause its choking the airwaves. Its hard to change the channel to find an actual thought provoking or engaging show to watch cause every channel has several hours of this crap on the air.

I agree with you and the original poster - for the most part. I hate American Idol because everyone around me talks about it 24/7. If it were only talked about occasionally then I'd have no problem with it. There are other reasons but I can't correctly put them into words at the moment.

I only watch the first rounds for the stupid people. After that I don't care.
