I was given an 80 GB ipod classic as one of my birthday presents this year and was wondering about the back light display ?

The longest you can have the light stay on before it shuts off is 30 seconds which is a bit too short to me so the other option is to leave it on all the time so my question is will leaving it on all the time burn an image in the screen over time if the back light is on always ?

Thanks!

P.S. here is the docking station for my ipod, it arrived Saturday evening and is very cool.

For instance the menu that stays in place on the left side of the screen and covers about half of the screen so if it stays lit up all of the time will the image of the menu screen be burnt in to it ?

Thanks.

The light shuts off after 30 seconds of not touching it.

It shouldn't be a problem.
