Damn it all to hell in a hand busket, my days of student bludging are nearing an end! I've managed to get an interview to try and get into one of the best nursing post grad programmes in our smelly little country!

I was the first person the employer rang - so hopefully that's a good sign.

Of course, having a grown up income means more $$$ to be spent on the wonders of Transformers merchandise.

Thats why most of us bother with stupid work.

I'm not worried about tombstones. I told my friends to just throw me in a ditch, and if I'm already in one, well I saved them some effort.

My mom is a train-wreck-in-progress.

This weekend I saw my family for the first time in months.

I had to bail 3 of them out of prison because of an unruely bridal shower of all things.

$800 out of my pocket and yeah, I'm the a--hole!

While I was there my mom asked me why I don't come around anymore.

Hey, it's all part of growing up, making money and using it to move as far away from your roots as possible

I just told the whole story to my best friend, who I also left in the old neigborhood. I agreed with him that it sucks that I we don't get together as often, but he completely understands that with distance brings silence, and that is truely golden!!!

My mother is far less appealing on every possible level. Feel very lucky you have no idea the depths of train-wreckage of which I speak of!

Well, most US jobs want foreign RNs to have at least 2years post grad exp. so I'll be barging over there soon enough.

As for my collection of maggots... well, American boarder security is pretty tight, don't think I could sneak them in... unless I swallowed them in a condom or something.
