Basics are:
Iron Man 2 - Apr 30, 2010
Thor - June 4, 2010
The First Avenger: Captain America - May 6, 2011
Avengers - July 2011
Ant-Man - In development
Spider-Man 4 - In development

Iron Man 2 will introduce Thor.

I think all of these will be very cool!

link wrote:Marvel Entertainment released their first quarter report to its shareholders this morning to coincide with the announcement about the success this past weekend of Marvel Studios' first production Iron Man, which grossed an estimated $104.2 million domestically and over $201 million worldwide. The announcement included an update of Marvel Studios' feature film slate with the already-rumored Iron Man 2 announced for a release on April 30, 2010, followed by three more movies for the summers of '10 and '11. Matthew Vaughn's Thor is set for a release on June 4, 2010, and The First Avenger: Captain America (the working title) will kick off the summer of 2011 on May 6, followed by the highly-anticipated and foreshadowed The Avengers scheduled for July 2011. (Edgar Wright's Ant-Man is also listed as being in development with no release date set.)

In a conference call this morning, Marvel Studios' David Maisel said that Iron Man 2 will be used to introduce Thor. Regarding more "Hulk" movies, Maisel said "We definitely plan on continuing." He added that development continues on Spider-Man 4. "I can't give any other updates other than to say it's in development and everybody's excited about 'Spider-Man 4,'" he said.

With that in mind, one can start expecting a lot more announcements in the coming months about creative teams and casting for those movies including who might direct the Captain America and Avengers movies. (Whomever plays Steve Rogers AKA Captain America presumably will be making two movies at once.)

Oohhh very cool. Looking forward to Thor and Cap.

I wonder if the Avengers will include Thor, IronMan and Cap or will they stick to the Other known roster: Giant Man/Ant Man, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Wonder Man, Maybe Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel?

Although Introducing that many characters in a 2 hour movie may prove quite difficult.

I guess they could use the main Avengers from their own movies in it and avoid all the Introductions.

Still looks very promising for the near future. I think it was a great move by Avi Arad and the Marvel people to create their own Production company. Guarantees better scripts and better movies than past attempts. And they can do them the way they are meant to be done and keep loyal to the source material.

I wonder if this might push DC in the same direction, could we perhaps see a Justice League Movie? At the very least Green Lantern movie? I'd love to see a live action version of Kilowog.

I love Thor, but I'm not sure how I feel about this - and it reduces the chances of War Machine....

I hope Spider-man 4 is better than 3.....

I read about this the other day as well.
It is cool to see how they are now tying the movies together gearing them towards an Avengers movie.
Now it makes sense why they re-did the Hulk.
And the rumor is that Iron Man will be in the Hulk.
Downey has a scene with Gen Thunderbolt (William Hurt).

That came from William Hurt's mouth during an interview too.

I had heard about Spiderman 4, Captain America, and The Avengers. Ant-Man?
Super-hero movies are really good crowd-drawers I guess.

About DC, when's Wonder Woman?

Iron-Man introduced Nick Fury.

So expect that Iron-ma 2 will introduce Thor in much the same way.

Ant Man, otherwise known as Hank Pym. Also goes by the name of Yellow Jacket, or Giant Man. One of the Finer Scientific minds in the Marvel Universe After Reed Richards and Bruce Banner.

True...but one must also mention that Hank Pym is one of the biggest a--holes in the Marvel Universe and an abusive husband.

The question was posed earlier in this forum: what will the lineup for the Avengers be? I tend to lean towards the Ultimate Avengers lineup used in Lionsgate's recent animated movies...simply because of the fact that it is a considerably smaller cast than the more traditional versions: Thor, Hulk, Fury, Black Widow, Iron Man, Pym and Wasp, and Captain America. At this point we already have Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Cap confirmed. If Ant-man is involved, that may introduce Wasp. At that point, with only 4 movies, you've introduced an adequate cast for Avengers.

That's what I believe as well.

BTW, any news on what SM4 will have? Will Venom return? Will it be Carnage instead of or as well as Venom?

Well last I heard Venom will be getting his own movie.

If they did Carnage and Venom, SM4 would be a lot more disappointing than SM3 was.

I pray that Hollywood writers will realize that having 2 or more villains does not make for a more entertaining movie.

yes let's  :BOOM: They should have had venom come in at the very end. The part where Eddie falls on his knees and comes up and roars and the screen turns black is where they should have ended it.

Yeah, Veonom is too awsome of a character to have been in only a fourth of a movie. I don't care what it looked like though, if they want to bring Venom back they'll find a way too. After all, Elektra died in Daredevil and they brought her back.

And Iron Man(Tony Stark) possibly being in the new Hulk? Thor being in Iron Man 2! Nick Fury being introduced in Iron Man(which I will be going to see tomorrow), sweet! The Marvel Movieverse is finally begining to connect with each other  .

Robert Downey Jr. will be in the Hulk as Tony Stark along with Nick Fury, the same instance as how we saw Nick Fury introduced at the very end of Ironman.

Why not have Iron Man and War Machine come to blows with Thor for a bit?

I mean in the beginning of ultimate Avengers movie Thor is breaking the law in a way.

They could have him being a alcohol swilling animal rights activist or whatever going to extremes

Yeah, I thought of that a little while after my post. I hope that's how they do it - I could definitely live with that.

Please let First Avenger be a WWII movie!

Just freeze and defrost him in the last fifteen to twenty minutes!

I don't know about that...a huge part of Cap's character is his adjustment to today's world and how conflicted he is, as well as dealing with the loss of loved ones and friends. I think that's a better basis for an Avengers movie than the WWII...besides, if they decide to go with his background wouldn't they do it in his solo movie rather than take away from the action potential of the Avengers?

First Avenger is the Captain America solo-movie. He is the first Avenger.

I'm saying, set that in WWII, and have him defrosted at the end to lead the Avengers. Then, in the Avengers you have the subplot of him adjusting to a modern world filled with superheroes and supervillains.

AH...end of confusion...we'll see what Marvel does. If their first movie was any indication, it's going to go well and you should by stock in Marvel Entertainment.

But he wasn't the first Avenger.Captain America did not join the Avengers till issue 3 or 4.

The first Avengers were Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk.

So why are they calling Caps solo movie "First Avenger"???

I'm on the fence about this one.Truth be told I think they should make the Avengers Movie about finding Cap and then do a Cap solo film later.
