I'm thinking of getting this, but the description, well there's not much of one. It says the run time is 2125 minutes. So if each episode is about 22 minutes long, then this has about 100 episodes?! I don't know much about Robotech. I like the show, but I don't know what version's the best. Wasn't there one that came with a figure? So what I want to know, is what am I getting, and is this a good collection? Oh and is it a good price? That kind of stuff.

There is a compacted package version of the origional 3 chapter series being sold at Best Buy, I wish I had that instead of the 14DVD set.

But yeah, Robotech was awesome, I didn't get into it till Toonami, but still. The first chapter is just great, war, death, love triangles, space, armagedon, JetFire, it's got everything.

The second chapter is kinda lacking, I realy never could get into it. The third chapter however is a nice rag tag, struggle for survival, team story that ties right into the greater whole.

I say get it

Well, I ordered it anyway. I think it has all 3 series. Which is pretty cool. If it includes that Macross Plus movie, even cooler.

ahh, the protoculture boxset....I have it and it`s great quality. it also has extra's such as Robotech II: The Sentinels movie, deleted scenes, artwork and interviews. it does NOT include Macross Plus since it isn`t part of Robotech, it DOES hold a preview for Shadow Chronicles however and some footage of the unreleased (and probably better so) Robotech: The Untold Story.

Ahh yes 21 discs of Roboetch goodness. Still over 125 bucks is a little steep considering Amazon has it from private sellers going for around $70 New.
