Costume materials- HELP!

Well, in an odd turn of events I may actually get to go to the SDCC this year. And there's no way I can do this without embracing my full geekiness and going in a homemade costume. The fact that it would probably embarrass my aunt (who would be coming along, unfortunately) would just be bonus.

Okay, anybody know where to get good deals on one-piece bodysuits, boots, and gloves? My sister and I both plan to make costumes, so stores that provide for both sexes or at least have unisex suits would be preferred.

I'm thinking of going as Cyclops, in his contemporary outfit. So, I'll need some sort of transparent red plastic. Any ideas how I should fabricate a visor?

Oh yeah, and any advice or tips would be welcome. Thanks all.

Uh, no thanks. I want this to be a homemade costume, because those are so much more fun to show off. Besides, since I started this thread I managed to find almsot everything I need for Cyclops. Now I just hope I can cobble it together well enough to look halfway decent.

Sadly, I could not find a leotard with a fly.
