Video of an Alien to be shown Friday in Denver

So I was browsing Digg when I came across an interesting news report.

Apparently, Friday a video showing an alien peeking through a window is going to be shown on the Denver news.

And then 20 minutes later will most likely be on Youtube for all of us to see.

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2 ... wn-friday/

Rocky Mountain News wrote:A video that purportedly shows a living, breathing space alien will be shown to the news media Friday in Denver.

Jeff Peckman, who is pushing a ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver to prepare the city for close encounters of the alien kind, said the video is authentic and convinced him that aliens exist.

"As impressive as it is, it's still one tiny portion in the context of a vast amount of peripheral evidence," he said Wednesday. "It's really the final visual confirmation of what you already know to be true having seen all the other evidence."

When Peckman went before city officials this month to discuss his proposed ET initiative, he promised to show the video.

Peckman said the general public will have to wait to see it because it's being included in a documentary by Stan Romanek.

"No one will be allowed to film the segment with the extraterrestrial because there is an agreement in place limiting that kind of exposure during negotiations for the documentary," he said.

But people won't have to wait too long to see it for themselves.

"There is an open, public meeting in about a month in Colorado Springs," Peckman said. "We'll hope to do one in Denver at some point, and then in a few months, there will be the documentary that anybody can have, and it'll have the footage."

An instructor at the Colorado Film School in Denver scrutinized the video "very carefully" and determined it was authentic, Peckman said.

Peckman, 54, said the video was among the reasons he was "compelled" to launch the proposed ballot initiative, which has generated news as far as South Africa.

"It shows an extraterrestrial's head popping up outside of a window at night, looking in the window, that's visible through an infrared camera," he said. The alien is about 4 feet tall and can be seen blinking, Peckman said earlier this month.

In a statement, Peckman said "other related credible evidence" proving aliens exist will be shown at Friday's news conference, too.

In 2003, Peckman authored an off-beat ballot initiative that would have required the city to implement stress-reduction techniques. The "Safety Through Peace" initiative failed, but garnered 32 percent of the vote.

Also apparently an expert has seen the video and says it's not a fake.

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2 ... e-no-fake/

The instructor at the Colorado Film School who analyzed a video that purportedly shows a living space alien swears the footage is real.

"There is no doubt in my mind that (Stan Romanek, a Colorado native who has reported UFO sightings) did not post-produce this material. In other words, it's not a trick done in special effects," Jerry Hofmann, a professional film editor with more than 30 years of experience, said in a telephone interview this morning.

"I have equipment that will test to see if that shot was recorded originally on that tape, which it was," he said.

However, Hofmann said there's no way for him to know whether or not the little gray alien, which was videotaped peeping through a window, is the real thing.

But Hofmann thinks it is.

"The chances are that we are not alone," he said. "That's the conclusion I've come to."

Hofmann, a Colorado Springs native who used to work in the Los Angeles film industry, mostly making commercials and industrial films, said Romanek doesn't have the resources to videotape something so elaborate.

"He kept the camera handy, and he saw this little gray (alien) running around his house. He saw it so he got the camera out," Hofmann said. "The thing is about 4 feet tall. The only thing that shows up in the video is his head. It pops up from underneath a window. But his eyes blink. His cheeks move. He turns his head side-to-side. This would be a very elaborate puppet."

Hofmann said people who work in Hollywood animatronics also have seen the video and said that such an elaborate puppet would cost around $50,000.

"The guy lives on a freaking government pension," Hofmann said, referring to Romanek. "He's got a wife and three kids. He doesn't have money. I just don't think he faked this. I think what we got here is the real thing."

Hofmann said he had never heard about Romanek until he was approached last July to analyze the video.

Hofmann, 57, who has been married for 35 years to his college sweetheart and has two grown children, said he used to be a skeptic about space aliens.

"My whole view has totally changed," he said. "There's something going on."

Should be an interesting day tomorrow/today.

I'm in Colorado right outside Denver and this was on all the local news and radio shows today. The video is 2 years old but has not been shown publicly due to securing the rights for the video from the owners of the farmhouse where the video was shot because the owners of the video wanted it made into a documentary (what they are showing on Friday/Today.) There are a lot of professionals (some ex high-up government officials and scientists) who are helping to get this released. They all are saying it's real and are calling for a 60 year ongoing extra-terrestrial government cover up to be revealed.

I guess we'll all have to just wait and see. Maybe it's real or maybe some people saw the new Indiana Jones movie and got a little too inspired...

So it's a Grey? Makes sense, they are the most common in sightings.

I was already of the belief that there is a 100% chance that there is life elsewhere in the universe. The stars you see in the night sky are only a small fraction of all the stars in the universe, and the chances of one of them having a planet that can sustain life is practically 1:1.

Otherwise, it's a pretty big waste of space.

All I can imagine now is that stupid scene from Scary Movie III with the aliens appearing in the backround while the camera focuses on dumb stuff

Still, I like weird stuff so keep us posted

I can't wait to see this.
I've always known that we're not alone, I mean WHY should just one planet in all the Universe have life?

You mean test it in some way which the professionals already described as having tested haven't already tested it? No.

I haven't heard anything more on the story since posting this thread. Hopefully someone over in the Colorado area will have seen it so we can get an update.

While a publicity stunt is possible(we all remember that BS that mini-cooper pulled a few years back about a real transformer), I kinda find it hard to believe that they would only do this for publicity, especially involving news media.

The whole blinking in the window thing, while it may not prove it's a real alien. Think about it, look at our animatronic capabilities right now, to get something that looks real and has real facial features like blinking and showing emotion, does take a fair bit of cash to even make something that sophisticated.

With the live action TMNT animatronic heads, it took 3 different people to work one head. That is the one thing that hasn't really changed today about animatronics, to work one puppet, it takes about 3-4 people with different remote controls.

That really is a good chunk of money to be spending on one single publicity stunt, a publicity stunt that aside from a couple of articles I found while searching digg, hasn't had much media attention.

It is possible that it could be a cg alien, though to make a cgi animated alien that looks 100% real, would most likely cost even more than an animatronic alien puppet.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Edit: Having watched the video, I'm still kinda on the fence about it. Looking at the video, it could possibly be CGI, there is no way that would be an animatronic puppet.

Although from what I understand that may not be the actual footage.
Edit Edit:It isn't the actual footage, that youtube link was footage created by a skeptic who says it's possible to fake the footage without a high-budget and all that.

Here is another news report.

http://www.abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=4957753&page=1

Though from what I understand from reading the news report he caught a good couple minutes of footage of the "alien" doing whatever.

We'll have to wait for the documentary to actually see the footage itself.

True Hugo but I was just being sarcastic not meaning it as a serious debunk but it could also be a puppet head / mask with animated eyes drawn or digitized in over the head / mask. that would not be too time consuming or costly.

there are plenty of talented computer artists that could do that in a heart beat.

I still think I'm an alien though :P
;;)

Yeah, the Youtube one is supposed to be fake, which I found out after watching it. Pretty disappointed. I want to see the real deal.

I know the chances of another planet having life is pretty much a given, but what are the chances of them being so close that they can actually visit? Or can they fold space or something? Dunno that one.

The footage might not look 100% real, but apparently some professionals in several fields are convinced. If it's a fake, they say they can't spot it.

It looked like a puppet to me

This whole thing is reminding me of that alien autopsy back about 10 years or so ago

Well I constantly accuse my sister of being an alien so I suppose I could be one too so if people start seeing me blinking in their windows then that's my excuse! ;;) hahaha...one nick name I have for my sister to this day is "Diana" from the mini series "V" and later I started calling her "L'ursa" from Star Trek the next generation. :D

I like to keep an open mind and not think we are the center of the universe as much as human history has tried to make it out so, even if we find microbes under a mars rock or some sort of sea creature under the ice of Jupiters moon Europa as they are planning missions there to explore it is still extra terrestrial life and the search should continue. Perhaps one day we will discover an obvious signal from space too but the distances involved may take hundreds or thousands of years as unless they've invented some faster than light signals then it will take much time.

I hope we are certainly not the only ones out there in the universe just so long as they are friendly.

How freakin' creepy is that(if it is real)?!
Actually more disturbing is what are his hands doing while he's playing peek-a-boo behind the wall of that house? :-?

Kidding aside, I'm very interested to see how this turns out.
