I just got back from a Job Fair (teacher) at the university that I graduated from last semester and the only two districts that amazed me and I amazed them are both in Maryland.

Any info on what the school districts or daily life is like is welcome.

It really depends on the county. In Maryland, even some neighboring counties can be worlds apart in terms of education and quality of life. And of course there's DC, which is just dreadful despite being the nation's capital.

You'll have to be more specific, at least by region.
