Anyone want to talk some Baseball (MLB)?

White Sox play the Tigers tonight. This series should be a great match up. But looks like Detroit won't be facing Mark "Mr. No Hitter" Buehrle this time.

The "other" good match up is the Yankees vs. Red Sox tonight. Man, A-Rod looks like a man possessed. He wants another MVP award.

But man, has the Yankees starting rotation been struggling. But they called up Chase Wright instead of Phillip Hughes? What's up with that? I guess they believe Hughes isn't quite ready yet...

But speaking of the Yankees, did anyone see that crazy game against Oakland where Scutaro homered off Rivera? Insane!

Meanwhile Boston's starting rotation is solid, but where's the freaking run support for Diasuke? The guy's got three solid outings yet is 1-2? Okay, King Felix had his A game, but Red Sox could have scored more runs in that Toronto game.

Over in the NL East, the battle between the Braves and Mets is going be pretty cool.

I'm happy that the Dodgers are in 1st in NL West. Hendrickson turned out strong.

Btw, as long as St. Louis is at last place until the end of regular season, I'm happy.

Yeah, they're struggling, and I think Chris Carpenter is still out. Funny how the big names from their starting rotation, like Weaver and Suppan left after the World Series, and yet Detroit basically has everyone back (except Jamie Walker).

All offseason I have been saying Yankees will be fine as long as their pitching holds up. I didn't think the rotation would take such a hit this early. The main reason they are saving Hughes is to save his arm. He is a future ace. They may bring him up late in the season. Right now they want him to get more innings in and not overwhelm the youngster.

That makes sense. No need to rush the youngster.

Now I wonder how aggressive the Yankees will be at signing Roger Clemens...

Mariano blew a big one against Boston. That sucked. I hate Boston.

I don't know what's happened to Mariano as of late. The guy has been near invincible for many seasons, but he seems to have just lost the plot entirely this year... :???:

Since the Leafs are done, I suppose I can hop on the Baseball wagon (though I'm still following the Raptors too).

Go Jays Go!

Yeah, I watched some of the end of that game, after I finished watching the Tigers/White Sox game, I switched over to ESPN to watch this game.

Rivera gave up three hits or four hits in a row. I wonder if he's injured...

It happens plus the Red Sox have done this to him in the past

Yeah. It is only April. No need to worry too much.

It's early yet. April is not a time to worry.

It irritates you when it your team but April is not a season
Plus the last few years the Yanks take it easy during the early months then mean business later in the season

Damn! Tigers lost to the White Sox again. I thought they might get something going on offense, especially when Carlos Guillen hit that grand slam.

I hate to say it but after watching todays game I think the Yanks are going to be swept by Boston.

What do you guys think of the fact that Bonds is about to break the homerun record?

I think that after the Yankees royally blowing the ALCS, a few years back, to the Red Sox, I the Bambino's curse has hexed the Yankees in some form.

As for Bonds...

I'm still convinsed he took steroids that can't be detected through traditional tests.

Regardless, if they're on the road and he ties, he'll be benched until the return to San Fransisco just to have it in their ballpark.

Yeah, I'm not too excited about this as well, despite ESPN trying to hype it every chance they get.

I think A-Rod will get the chance to break the homerun record someday. He's only 31 or 32.

I just stopped by the Cubs' official site, and saw:

Cardinals' Wainwright (1-1, 3.20 ERA) VS Miller (0-1, 9.00 ERA)

Man, as much as I detest the Cardinals, I'd be damned to predict that this would be a shut-out in favor of the Cards. >_>

How you all forget

The Yankees swept the Red Sox in a 5 game series last year

The Red Sox gave up the season by trading David Wells to San Diego after that

Oh I don't forget. I also know that it is too early to worry. It just sucks right now.
What really sucks is 4 straight homeruns. Unbelievable. Manny,J.D. Drew, Lowell and Varitek. All off Chase Wright. Wow.
