I can't wait! I've been praying for some new EVA for years. I'd personally like to see more about Asuka and EVA 02.

Aye. I'm agreeing God Module and Spoon here. Asuka was great and pretty, would be good to see more of her.
End Of Evangelion hurt my brain too. Here's hoping for something a little more simple.

The first movie trails up to episode six of the series and I can't freak'n wait!

I've been following the news that Newtype USA has been putting out, as well as whatever I can glean from various online sources, since they were announced.

Personally, I'm rather psyched. Though I only got into EVA recently through friends (and, like far too many people I know, ended up seeing End of Evangelion before the rest of the series), after having collected 5/7th's of the platinum edition I can safely say it has become one of my favourite all-around serieses. Period.

I know a few people who feel a sequal will ruin the franchise at this point. Frankly, I can't see that happening. Besides, an official GAINAX animated film has to be better than that live-action one that's been in development hell forever....right?

I felt the series was ok, not as good as some of gainax's other stuff like Gunbuster, hopefully the new series will deal with the Iron Maiden Storyline or one of the other Games where we actually get to see eva 05 or even 06 (green one only appeared in videogame for genesis)

i for one cannot wait, evangelion is the whole reason i even like anime, this is something i've always wanted ever since i saw the whole series, and now we're getting it

I cannot wait either, they can't get out soon enough, Eva is still one of my favorite series.

Heck Eva's and TF's are my two main collectables.

It's coming, it's not much different though. Just some green in place or purple from what I could see.
