An actual good DVD creator? Help!

I've probably gone through about 12 different DVD creation programs in the last couple of weeks. They all apparently burn well but the features are severely lacking when it comes to title screens and stuff. I'm looking for something that has some really good features like allowing you to have animated backgrounds (through using a video file if possible), animated windows of each episode. So like when you the main screen pops on, you see 6 windows with an episode in each. When you highlight one the video starts playing. Actually that last bit isn't neccesary. Just something cool I wouldn't mind having.
I guess I'm looking for something that can help create a more professional DVD instead of some random background with a list of file names.

You do know that Nero can do that.
I used it to burn Galaxy Force onto dvd before I got a divx player. The best I was able to do with it was to animate the buttons for the episodes(make sure not to make menus for the chapters or you will end up in a sub menu when you select what you want to play) and used the clean opening for Galaxy Force off F2F as the background.

From what I can tell that only works with the full version of Nero. Which you have to pay for. Express doesn't have those features.

So far, I know Macromedia Director can do that. No clue how, as I'm only now learning the program.
Other than that, Nero, if you need the full version. Well, it shouldn't be that hard to find.

I know for a fact I can get it. I was just hoping to not have to pirate for something as dumb as this.

I have an oem version of nero express 6 and i am able to use nerovision and do what I mentioned. The only way it wont work is if you have an older version of nero express 6 or earlier. If you have an early version all you have to do is install the mpeg-2 encoding plug-in and the dolby digital plug-in(you might have to look for them on warez sites as ahead don't provide them anymore and the programs remain locked if you install the latest version using your current key.)

Use Roxio MY DVD program! the trial software comes with windows XP media center edition! and has all the features you're looking for! Why... I've used them all!
-Animated and movie backgrounds!
-Background Music!
-Movie clips when highlighted!
Give it a try! the trial version comes with everything you're looking for! you just have to figure out the controls which isn't all that hard to do!
Note some pirating may be involved but it is well worth it!

Well it turns out my brother had a copy of Nero 7 from when he bought his DVD burner about 2 weeks ago. Lucky me he has no idea what it is, so I stole it. You're right sniper_samurai, this thing does do all that I wanted. Yay!

The only way to get anything software-wise is to make yourself resemble certain outlaw sailors of yesteryear.

Nero wins again. Its also good for putting stuff from Tivo on DVD.
